The Rev. Franklin Graham has disgraced himself as surely as his father Billy did when the old man's anti-Semitism became clear.

Now Graham is proclaiming that Barack Obama is a Muslim because his father was born one.

As the Duke of Wellington used to say 'if a a man is born in a stable does that make him a horse?'

Given that Jesus was born in one according to the Gospels, I'd hardly say so.

Of course not, and Graham is just cozying up to the right wing nuts who have launched a major effort to portray Obama as somehow outside the mainstream in America.

Having failed to convince Americans that Obama was born outside the country the effort is now underway to portray him as some kind of alien, connected in some way to the Islamist extremist world.

It is a sad reflection on American life that apparently about one in five now perceive him as such and believe this claptrap.

Obama has tried to avoid the issu,e saying religion is a private matter between him and his Christian pastor, but the right wingers will not leave this alone.

Now comes Graham, joining the latest crusade with more bullying rhetoric.

For a man of God he should be ashamed of himself.

It'd be nice, Polin...but the Muslims have already been quite verbally and physically clear about their intentions to conquer earth and either A) convert you, or if not then B) at least conquer you and then subject you to what's called a 'jizyah' tax. When one side is expansive, aggressive and relentless it becomes rather hard to just ignore them away. And the only religion that can truly be said about on a worldwide scale today is Islam.

Yeah, and they say Islam has weird ideas... I think the Christian right give them a run for their money.. wonder if we could dump them all in some desert somewhere to have their final battles and let the rest of us live in relative peace and harmony ')

One of the most dangerous weapons Western pilots could face in Afghanistan is an anti-aircraft missile provided by the United States during the Reagan presidency. Some 1,000 Stingers were supplied to the mujahideen from 1986 onwards after Ronald Reagan overcame CIA objections that they were too dangerous to be given to the rebels.

Over 40% of our international deficit is with China thanks to the moronic Republicans starting with Reagan who deregulated EVERYTHING. They own us! The Saudi's (the ones who were responsible for 9-11) own 11% of America. oldbear: the problem is that oVomit is neither a Christian nor a leader and therein lies the problem, yet so far he's shown himself to be more sympathetic to muslims giving rise to the well-founded suspicion that he's one of them. Literally a plant in the American system that the muslim arabs want to destroy.
