A deal reached in Northern Ireland as talks end?

The basis for a deal on saving Northern Ireland's power sharing government now exists, says Sinn Fein Minister Gerry Kelly.

Kelly made the comments outside Hillsborough Castle, where talks have now officially ended after 10 days.

It is now up to Democratic Unionist Party leader Peter Robinson to sell the new deal to his party --something he failed to do earlier this week.

Renegotiations since then however, have apparently brought the two sides very close together. The negotiations have come to a conclusion.

"We believe that it is a positive conclusion and we believe that it is the basis on which to move forward," Kelly, pictured above, said.

DUP leader Peter Robinson is now expected to address his Assembly party to seek agreement.

The issues of policing, justice and Orange parades have dominated the talks.
