  "grouch' - not YOUR Mother, Dumba@@, the expectant mother in YOUR OWN EXAMPLE (!), whose water broke, but who stood there in line risking an infection and perhaps giving her baby blindness or brain damage, just so she could say she voted for Barack. (She's like a Socialist Hero to me - I'm sure the Red Chinese will compose a People's Opera in her Honor!) It will also be an inspiring sight to watch her hold up this baby's blind, flaccid, demented head and wave his little spastic paralyzed arm for him at the inauguration of that purple polka-dotted hermaphrodite you have pledged to support in the next election.

  My expectant mother probably would NOT have risked life and limb for Dukakis (ugh) or Kerry (yeaa!) But a lot of us would for Hillary. Helpful hint: the more the rightwing fascists attack her, the more we love her because she must be doing something right! Now you can exercise that closed little pea brain of yours to accuse me of bias in favor of women. I don't care if someone's purple polka dotted hermaphrodite, as long as they aren't a rightwing hypocrite fascist. The left has been hard at work remaking the world into a better place, and we're so far ahead of the trogs that you'll always have to eat our dust. So pull up a chair and I'll set you a place, kay; dinner's served.

  I'm not talking about 'motives' of any kind, 'grouch',I'm simply observing what the Left will lose out on, if they select yet another old white Socialist hack from their stable. I suggest that no one knows this better than the Dem Party leadership, and that they will likely reason as I have. Consider that 96% of ALL Blacks who voted in 2008, voted for "the Black guy." I don't believe that 96% of all Black voters are Leftists, so the non-Commies voted for Brother Barack out of racial identification, not political affinity. Do you honestly believe that minority efforts to get out the vote would be as strong for Hillary, or that your expectant mother would have risked a major intrauterine infection to put a Mike Dukakis or a John Kerry into the White House? I don't think so, but I guess we'll see in a couple years.

  Hillary consistently outpolls even Oprah. What do you say to THAT? As for African American potential candidates, keep your eye on Van Jones and Corey Booker. You don't seem to understand, Kay... race really doesn't matter to some of us, the young especially. It's the whole person who counts. One person who impressed me immensely on election day, despite the foul GOP efforts to thwart minority voters in myriad ways great and small, was the expectant mother whose water broke while she waited to vote - and she waited until she DID get to vote before leaving for the hospital. That's dedication. You can put it down to all the bad motives you want. We know where the real stink comes from - your side of the aisle.

  I don't see Biden, or Clinton, or any of the Caucasian 'Old Guard' who have been waiting in line getting the Dem nod in 2016. The Dems HAVE to realize that they have gotten a fantastic amount of mileage out of having a 'Black' President. They have been able to both blunt most criticism of his Leftist policies as simply 'RACIST' criticism, while at the same time motivate their notoriously unreliable underclass base to actually show up and vote for their candidate. Choosing the typical wealthy white candidate sacrifices ALL of that potential, even if they do chose a gay candidate or a union guy, or a feisty "you're not gonna take away MY RIGHT to a free abortion" woman. Of course they'll still trot out the standard campaign rhetoric about how the Repubs are out to put Blacks back into chains, and to take away abortion, welfare, and free phones, but it lacks authenticity if it's a white person saying it. And until such time as they legalize enough Hispanics to be able to set the Black vote aside, the Dems MUST continue to turn out their base. I therefore predict the 'discovery' of either a Black or Hispanic "New Rising sStar" who will "wow" everyone with some GREAT SPEECH that "really crystalizes Democrat Party Principles". This will be the next candidate. Biden and Hillary and all the rest are SOL.

  This is just more sour grapes whining. It doesn't matter one whit how capable and eager and loyal Biden may be. HE HASN'T GOT THE VOTES AND NEVER WILL. I give him credit for understanding that! What are we supposed to do, sacrifice the country on the altar of ANYONE's ego? Even the GOP admits the WH is Hillary's if she wants it, no matter who's rash enough to challenge her. But if health or something else causes her to stay out of 2016, her last shot, then there are already plenty of sterling Democrats ready and able to fill the breach: Cuomo and the Castro brothers among them. No matter how worthy our beloved Joe Biden definitely is, he's simply unelectable. Let the GOP carp about alleged disloyalty all they want! Sure, they'd like us to make such a beginner's mistake. And they hate us enough to twist and lie and do every evil thing they can think of. Only a fool believes a word they say.

  Not a thing here for Vice President Joe Biden (or those of us who hope to see him run for President in 2016) to worry about here; anyone who has read Doris Kearns Goodwin's marvelous book "Team Of Rivals" merely saw the kind of interview President Lincoln might have given had Secretary of State Seward chosen to leave during his second term (had Lincoln lived). Seward was a great Secretary of State (probably one of the five best up to that time) who had had Presidential ambitions - but would never see them fulfilled. He had become one of Lincoln's closest advisers and friends during their time working together. One can say almost identical things about Hillary Clinton at this point. She might have made a fine President in 2000, but someone else got the nomination and proved to be a great President. She proved to be a great Secretary of State - but many of us will be very surprised if she is the Democratic nominee for President in 2016 - four years after leaving public office. Whatever her future role, she leaves a great legacy...as does, and will, the Vice President. If only we Republicans had ANYONE on a similar level to offer the country! We have four years to find SOMEONE who rejects the radical right and LEADS for positive programs to do what government has always been SUPPOSED to do: that which individuals CANNOT do themselves.

Just as cigarette cartons contain a "warning message" so should FOX, that states: " Warning, the following content will distort your view, alienate you from your fellow man and your government, and portray our current President as untrustworthy and not one of us. All children or persons NOT looking to have their pre-existing biases reinforced are advised to turn off now"

  Niall, come off it. You know as well as I that a 75 year old Joe Biden is not going to take the oath of office on January 20, 2017. Unquestionably, Joe has been a great Vice President. However, the Democratic party is not going to nominate an old white man in 2016. Niall, I doubt whether the Dems will nominate ANY man in 20165. Clearly, Hillary has the nomination for the asking. And there are many qualified women who can run if Hill chooses not to. As for the interview, it served both individuals well. The President had wanted to get as much mileage from the Clinton family as possible. He practically doubled with Bill during the campaign. And Hillary wanted the President at her side in case she does decide to run. As for Cuomo and O'Malley, don't hold your breathe.

  The claim that Biden was ever a viable candidate was "dumped in the ditch" quite some time ago. His "motor mouth" could never compete with the likes of the "smooth and velvet" ring tones of Hillary.

  Hillary has serious health problems that effect her judgment. Her recent performance in front of the Senate demonstrates she has the power to pull off a weak explanation for the events in Libya. Her next appointment is with a brain scanner.

  I hate to burst your bubble Niall, but neither Biden or Clinton has a chance in 2016. Clinton-because she has too much baggage and she was already outshined by Obama. Biden, well ... do I even need to even explain? In any event, in was kind of funny reading a scathing article about Obama's "lying eyes" ... from somebody left of center.

  It should be of little surprise that loyalty is not something that resonates with Obama. For anyone who has read his autobiography (Dreams from My Father), abandonment seems to be a recurring theme in his life. His father abandoned him and his mother when he was age 2; then his mother outsourced parental responsibility to her parents when Barack was 10. Back in the 2008 campaign, he threw his grandmother "under the bus" in an attempt to save Reverend Wright. The soundtrack title to our President's life is clearly not Ben E King's "Stand by Me".

  Meanwhile on the other network..... Fox’s Roger Ailes has cut Sarah Palin loose. She was their gleeful cheerleader of smear, and vilification, doing the really dirty work that McCain and the rest of the Republicans wanted done, but didn’t want to dirty their own hands with. Yet, they stood in the shadows laughing and applauding when “Sarah” would put out her latest slander attack, in her hockey mom style, with lipstick glowing, running from interview to interview, kid trailing behind with helpless looks upon their faces. And now Ailes who really runs the Republican party, especially since Karl Rove crashed and burned in the last election, has decided “He’s” had enough of the latest brainless pretty face; like many rich and powerful men before him, and told “Sarah” he’s breaking up with her, and don’t call us we’ll call you. I wonder if Palin was watching 60 minutes last night? Ahhhh...Karma, is a wonderful thing!
