  • For facing the most difficult and loneliest job in the world with grace, dignity, honesty and guts in spite of so many "Haters":
  • For being, in spite of all the hate, pettiness, racism, corruption and immaturity around, the most progressive president in decades:

this belongs in a joke book !!!!! By the way if he created 1.1 million jobs they must have been in other countries because they were not created in the U.S.A. look at the unemployment records !

Thank you for this article. Pres. Obama took on a tough job at the toughest time in America, especially after the eight years of Republicans stuffing the pockets of the rich while ignoring the middle class and the poor. We are lucky to have him as our President. It's so sad to read the racists comments here. People fear what they do not understand.

Lets not forget to thank the big O for spending more money in Feb. of 2011 than Bush did the entire year of 2007. Great job facist. The first words that came to mind when I read this was the title of the dance President Obama and the First Lady danced to at one of the inauguration balls - At Last. How refreshing to read - at last, - something positive on Irish Central about our president. Thank you Patrick for expressing what a great many Americans feel about him and his presidency. My Dublin born mother used to say if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all - so give it a rest all of you nay-sayers who are posting such negative responses; they are an embarrassment.
