Sarah Palin has launched a bitter attack on Maureen Dowd after Dowd described her as "Queen Bee" of the "mean girls" in the Republican Party this election season.
"That's so funny, because I don't think I've ever met that gal, Maureen Dowd -- O'Dowd -- whatever the heck her name is Palin told a Fox News reporter when asked about Dowd
"I don't think I've ever met her, and I don't think -- she probably hasn't met Jan Brewer or some of these other wonderful, pleasant, gracious, nice, hard-working mama grizzlies who are wanting to turn this country around.
So Maureen can say whatever she says. I encourage the other mama grizzlies and liberty-loving Americans to just keep smiling."
Dowd responded in an interview with the Huffington Post saying it was the McCain campaign that stopped Palin meeting her when they kept her off their airplane.
"I was eager to travel with her and interview her when she first got appointed by McCain," said Dowd. "I think she's a fascinating figure in the history of politics. But I was immediately barred from their campaign planes by the same McCain aides Palin later "escaped" from."
Dowd claimed that Palin and others were setting out to emasculate Democrats this election season.
"We are in the era of Republican Mean Girls, grown-up versions of those teenage tormentors who would steal your boyfriend, spray-paint your locker and, just for good measure, spread rumors that you were pregnant.
These women — Jan, Meg, Carly, Sharron, Linda, Michele, Queen Bee Sarah and sweet wannabe Christine — have co-opted and ratcheted up the disgust with the status quo that originally buoyed Barack Obama. " Dowd wrote in her New York Times column

What can one say about Sarah Palin? Nothing...the same as the inside of her empty head. If she runs for anything it should be on the anti-MENSA ticket. God help us if she's elected to any significant position. But then again, based on the daily claptrap oozing from the Conservative Right, she would be representative of their supporters. She is the best reason I can think of to shun the 49th state.

LIBERTY is something for every human being, think you will find a reference or two to LIBERTY in the UNITED NATIONS UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS and the fact that nearly half of those in Guantanamo were released without charge shows that not all those imprisoned are terrorists, and a religion is and should be irrelevant isn't that why democracy's are supposed to have a clear division between religion and state!!
And note Maloney only the red neck racist christian nuts go roo shootin!!

Liberty is for the American citizen, not muslim terrorists. We will take care of our own. The roo screwing aussies or assies don't dictate American policy although they try in vain.

Did the truth hurt Sarah?? A reference to high school and so you actually understood it!!!
"Liberty loving americans" that is an exaggeration Sarah because the patriot act is far from liberty loving and holding people in prison without charge is far from liberty loving too!!

Somebody is bitter...and it isn't Sarah Palin. She's used to the nonsense. But if Maureen Dowd wants to maintain even a shred of dignity then she needs to redirect her insecurity back to the Clintons like she always used to...

who writes for this website? in what way, AT ALL, did sarah palin "slam" or "attack" dowd? how was it "bitter?"
this site is so biased its lost all credibility. palin, like her or not, was TAME and GRACIOUS in her response, and not the least bit negative. NOTHING from palin was bitter, attacking, or slamming. GET REAL.
