An incredibly racist site calling itself the Irate Irishman is drawing the anger of leading Irish Americans.
One of the recent stories calls Obama deeply racist names and sneers at an African American man kneeling as Obama's entourage leaves a public meeting (above)
On the site a series of anti-black stories are published with lurid details about alleged incidents involving blacks.
The language is extremely prejudiced and racist in tone and content.
The motto of the site is "Just when you think n.... can't sink any lower, they manage to drain just a little more from the cesspool"
The site, on the word press program has been operating at least as far back as August 2009.
The "Irate Irishman" writes in his introduction:
"To all of you who faithfully visit and read my blog it should be fairly obvious by now why I maintain this site and post the articles I do.
Sure I try to have fun with it, but the main goal of this site is to educate the public and those of you that may have lived under the cabbage leaf a little too long, about the failed mutations of nature that we so affectionately call n..... Those of you who are cognizant and aware of the world around you understand in high clarity what is transpiring in this country and the future we will face if things don’t change in the very near future. It should scare you to death.
"Do I hate n...? No I really don’t. Actually I don’t hate anyone. I simply understand that this species is a retarded and failed mutation of nature and use the proper precautions and govern myself accordingly when around them. I realize and understand that they are animals and predisposed to animalistic behavior."
I believe the existence of the site and its title will be challenged by leading Irish American groups who do not want the image of being racist attached to the Irish in America who endured centuries of discrimination themselves.
It is time such racists are challenged and removed.

Comments are not neccessarily removed because of abuse but journalists dry up and keep an eye on budding up and coming writers like myself who find it hard to be humble when i discover WHY they do it.They sell off the good stuff and leave the rest. How do i know this that's the special radar i have peculiar to only a few.

Unfortunately covert racism is a fact of life here in Ireland, but overt racism is on the rise. And I am surprised that the Moderator has allowed some of the comments that appear here, especially as I have submitted comments on other topics today that are critical of opinions posted by others. My comments would certainly make unfortable reading for those whose comments I criticize and for those running Irish Central. It seems that where Irish Central is concerned the First Amendment doesn't apply to me and my points of view. I have reported abuse where some of the comments are concerned because they were blatantly abusive, but so far all of them remain on display. Racist abuse has no place in any country and should not be tolerated.

It Doesn't offend me in the slightest. People let their emotions run away with themselves. Analytical thinking has NO prejudice.I'm a person who looks at an opinion and takes it as one side of an arguement. It has something to do with the FIRST Ammendment right to free speech.

Every race every ethnic group has stupid, hateful members. Irish Eddy, are you implying by your "whites of America" that white Americans of Irish heritage are basically hateful, bigoted racists. I hope not, but if you are, You sir are mistaken and your comments are ignorant.
IrishEddy | Nov 06, 2010, 01:18 PM EDT
The Irish in America have come such a long way. We use to be victims of hate groups, today we're members. The KKK even uses the Celtic Cross as one of their symbols. So be proud my fellow Irish kinsman/woman we are no longer the "Blacks of Europe" now we're the "Whites of America"

I have lived in a small town in Ireland up until the age of 15 when i went 2 England, where i saw the first black person ever. Didn't see the difference other than colour which didn,t bother me.Good & bad in every community i would think. What's with these people and their racist comments. Racist.....funny word...everyone 2 me is normal....the objectors r the misfits in our society. Live and let live....we are all Gods creatures....or naturists....for anyone who is not into religion

You stated that Irish Americans have endured centuries of discrimination. My family has alway prospered in Pittsburgh, since the 1830. Even though Pittsburgh is the most Scotch-Irish City in America. The only discrimination my family has ever suffered was at the hands of Affirmative Action. Family members were denied admission to Law School, and Jobs. I was denied a job after graduation from College. When that avenue was closed because of Affirmative Action, I did what my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather did. I got a trade. You write about discrimination of Irish American, but know nothing. According to the U.S. government there no classification as Irish American, I am considered by the government as White American. As a White American, I am the last to be hired. As a tradesmen, I am hired by my skills like the three generations before me. I am more proud of my trade as an election, then any college job. As I am sure that my father was proud of being a bricklayer, his father was a carpenter, and the survivor of the Great Hunger of 1847, my great grandfather the black smith. When I got my electrician's license, my father told me to forget about the Affirmative Action Discrimination, and College non-sense. You will get your money, because of you skill not any quota. A lot of the Tea Party Candidates are Irish Catholic, Toomey, and O'Donnell to name a few.

The Irate Irishmen is your straw man. Great tool for a hack. Let me tell you about racist comments by Obama. Resently in a speach to Hispanics, Obama said that you (hispanics) must distroy your enemy. Obama resented the term enemy, and said he should have said opponents. Obama is trying to start race wars in America. The Tea Party is having nothing of his race bating. So your poor irish hack had to create a straw man. I wonder, who really writes the "irate irish" blog.

all of the indignant, self-righteous people here should do a search for the blogs "underprivileged journalism" and "ghetto bragging rights" and get a good taste of anti-white hatred

Irate Irishman is no doubt very grateful for the publicity, but it is nonetheless useful that the public be reminded that there are such foul scum like him stirring up unnecessary trouble.
kilgara | Nov 05, 2010, 03:39 PM EDT
Have you ever listened to the lyrics of popular rap songs? HATE whitey abounds. Why does the black candidate when he or she is running agaist a caucasian , always get 90% of the black vote? Why do blacks get a free pass on being totally racist while white racists are totally ostracised?
Searlit | Nov 05, 2010, 03:33 PM EDT
I aree with bearaman.
Rebelforce | Nov 05, 2010, 02:48 PM EDT
Why would you want to give this website free publicity here? That's dumb. There's a very high likelihood that so-called "Irate Irishman" isn't even Irish, but wants to promote both racism and animosity between African and Irish-Americans.
feliciamaisey | Nov 05, 2010, 02:32 PM EDT
Writing full excerpts from this hateful blog are only inciting anger and fear. Bad move IC--Mr. Roberts, perhaps you should go write for the Daily Mail instead.

This level of racism goes only so far. It basically applies to those who act "uppity", and attempt to assume positions in elected office, corporate headquarters, etc. which are reserved for the white people. These same racists however cheer loudly when dark-skinned athletes perform admirably for their favorite teams- but that's OK since that is exactly where they belong. For them the athletic playing fields are the cotton fields of old.
killowen | Nov 05, 2010, 12:44 PM EDT
A Freedom of speech issue here - we're muzzled enough to be the sheep we are. People are a mixed bag of things - but if we claim to be chosen we have no answer for such racist nonesense.
BrendanPKeane | Nov 05, 2010, 12:16 PM EDT
Lots of Black Americans with Irish last names are Irish, genetically. The premier Black Studies scholar at Harvard, for example, Henry Louis Gates, traced his own genes to Dublin. Irish were more desperate than more established northern Black people in cities like New York in the 19th century, and when Irish prostitutes gave birth to Black babies, they gave the child their own last names. Many Irish last names in the Black community come from complicated relationships in the northern slave-free cities. Much of what has been boiled down into stupid illogical racism was really more about money and inter-group competition for limited resources like jobs that were controlled by the WASPs. As the Irish broke into WASP management, they adopted some of the racist ideas of the Anglo-master--to all our shame.
dingle999 | Nov 05, 2010, 12:00 PM EDT
Sadly a lot of Irish Americans (particularly of the older generation) would have views like this. And yes I have seen it with my own eyes both in America and Irish Americans visiting Ireland. The website is vile. It is shameful that the fu** idiot should be allowed to post such hateful garbage
Schenck2 | Nov 05, 2010, 11:41 AM EDT
My father told me of signs from the 30s-40s that said, "No dogs. No n...s. No Irish. No soldiers." Note the order. Give me a break! I've never understood the Irish being prejudice. Whose personal agenda are you promoting? We'd like to know.

This is ridiculous - Irate Irishman's ancestors suffered years back, thanks to people like him. Gross

''Irate Irishman' is a ''MENTAL MUTATION''
Yerffac | Nov 05, 2010, 10:35 AM EDT
Yes, just what is your motive here? Wait until you see the comments that will appear here on this site, which has its share of haters, racists and bigots. Give this guy publicity, why don't you? Put him on your payroll.
mylesie | Nov 05, 2010, 10:26 AM EDT
Well said GanAinm
GanAinm | Nov 05, 2010, 10:00 AM EDT
Was it REALLY necessary to give free publicity to that putrid blog? Just because the word "Irish" appears in it? There are 44 million people of Irish ancestry in this country, any one of whom can say anything, good, bad or insane on the internet that they wish. For that matter, anyone at all, even with no connection with Ireland or anything Irish can put the word "Irish" in a title. What makes this news? What if they same guy goes now and takes photos of excrement and calls it "Irish Shite"; are you going to use this site to spotlight that too? You might as well.
SingleDonald | Nov 05, 2010, 09:39 AM EDT
Italian Americans were once subject to ethnic prejudice, as were the Irish before them. Therefore, it is highly pathetic & questionable why an Irishman, or Italian would stoop so low as to vilify any other ethnic group! Hopefully, all sensible Irish, Italian, and all other groups will see this site for the folly that it represents, and pay no attention to it!
tomgallagher | Nov 05, 2010, 09:16 AM EDT
WOW.
GeorgeDillon | Nov 05, 2010, 09:13 AM EDT
This guy sounds like a real jerk. And it makes me mad that he calls himself an Irishman. On the other hand, I have seen views expressed on this site that border on the racist. I won't name the culprits, except to say that they claim to support both the Sinn Fein and Fianna Fail parties in ireland. I guess the jerks in question know who they are.
