President Obama is correct not to release the pictures of a dead Osama bin Laden.

Chances are, given that so many people say they have already seen them, that they will leak to some news organizations somewhere along the line

No one with any intelligence seriously doubts that it was Osama who was killed in Sunday night's raids.

Evidence presented today from Pakistani military clearly shows that Obama's daughter identified the man killed a s he father and the Pakistanis have accepted that it is the terror leader.

Like Obama's birth certificate there will always be conspiracy theorists who will assume other wise but even releasing the photograph would not appease them.

It serves no purpose to do so, merely making Islamic militants worldwide even more angry.

Have you noticed though the lack of street demonstrations in the Arab world over Bin Laden's death?

It is clear that the Arab world has moved on, seeing that they can grab democracy by ousting unpopular dictators not by Al Qaeda terrorism but by people power.

The strange part is that Osama was never more irrelevant than when he was killed. While his movement will continue to threaten, the reality is that history has passed it by.

The death of Bin Laden will be seen as the closing chapter on an era where such terrorists held the upper hand.

Now pro-democracy movements have proven to have far more power and courage than Al Qaeda ever had.

Obama has done the world a favor by moving on.

Let's hope the rest of the world does too,'

Bush failed in it's quest to kill UBL. Then along came Obama, at least he could have said mission accomplished.Bush was invited to ground zero by Obama to meet with the families.Instead he had a jealous hissy fit and said thanks but no thanks. He's probably running around the ranch spluttering "Obama got my man"Thank your president Obama for a mission well done,ah! go one I dare you.You just do not have the fortitude and respect do you?
Get your face out of obamas ass irish Central
I'm glad we have you Sean , your post was mature and inspiring.
Never have I read such a pack of mean spirited people. Obama got him bush could not. The hate is mind boggling.Suck eggs you morons.
Patriciamarya, I appreciate your awareness. Yes, Ahmed Chalibi, was paid $345,000 a month while in London by the US govt. He told lies, and fabriated stories about Iraq in order to have the US pave the way for him to return to a position of power in Iraq
I clicked on the story for Mexican immigrants son hero of bin laden navy seal op 2x and and was sent to this story what happened Pat Roberts the story wasnt true I guess this story will be removed too because theres been plenty of demostrations in the arab world. GOD BLESS THE NAVY SEALS
I do credit Obama for finishing job Bush started.
Why hancock and wizardofoz cannot give credit to President Obama where it is due is mind-boggling. Pres. Bush actually changed his mind in print and on the media regarding the value of seeking Bin Laden. He then created the need to invade Iraq due to the fact that Saddam Hussein was getting ready to peg the value of the Iraqui Petrodollar to the Euro and that could not happen. So the Elaborate Lie was formed. Joe Wilson was called a "traitor" because he told the truth regarding the "Yellow Cake from Nigeria" tale as well as the Iraqi double-agent Chalabi's lie regarding the WMD and we see how well Halliburton, Blackwater, KBR have done with those lies. Billions of dollars wasted, thousands of lives lost and wounded and maimed U.S. soldiers to care for and still, Bush gets credit for May 1st, 2011 precise attack. I am proud to have voted for President Barack Obama, a man of his word.
Well said Hancock
Thank you President Bush for providing the tools for President Obama to finish the job you started. Special kudos to our military.
On June 5, 2006, author Ed Haas contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters to ask why, while claiming that Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 1998 bombings of US Embassies in Tanzania and Kenya, the "most wanted" poster does not indicate that Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the events of 9-11. Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI responded, “The reason why 9-11 is not mentioned on Osama bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting bin Laden to 9-11.” Tomb continued, “Bin Laden has not been formally charged in connection to 9-11.”
Thank you, EphraimKibey your comments are spot on. We do know that the present President made that one of his hallmark priorities. He said exactly what he would do before the election and he did it. The best thing he did was to keep it within his inner circle. If people really want to see photos just go and look at those the foreign press has published of OBL's 3 companions.
