Just when the British royal family was crawling back towards respectability again after the Diana debacle, along comes Harry.

Nude pictures of the playboy prince in Los Vegas, many of them quite graphic, were put online by TMZ.

His grandmother Queen Elizabeth will be furious. She had worked mightily, an historic trip to the Irish Republic, opening the Olympics, meeting Martin McGuinness, to dismiss the criticism that the monarchy was just a bunch of lazy layabouts living off the public purse, who were over sexed, over paid, and over there.

William's marriage to Kate also helped set a new serious royal tone – until now.

Now Harry has smashed much of the good work done and given every tabloid reporter the dream story.

The man is clearly an idiot if he went about naked knowing he was being filmed and cavorting with naked women knowing they’d sell their story in a flash.

Harry strikes me as the dumbest royal of all, clearly a result of Diana’s intimacy with empty-headed James Hewitt, who he resembles so closely.

One wonders what Prince Charles (I’d love to be your tampon) thinks of all this. After all he hardly set the barrier very high when he conducted his affair with his concubine while he was married to Diana.

It all looks like the same old story with the royals and the hard-pressed taxpayers in Britain will be asking that fundamental question again.

What did we do to deserve these leeches living off us forever more?

What indeed?

Harry and William and indeed Charles behave like they have absolutely no concern for the monarchy at all and rightly so like all right minded English people they probably beleive that kings,queens and monarchs belong in the medieval past.Bottoms up Harry

Just another excuse for Pat Roberts to show his hatred towards the British royals. What Harry has done could be described as silly or even stupid but at the end of the day all he is really doing is partying as any young guy would do... letting his hair down before preparing to return to military service and probably a second tour of Afghanistan. People who would otherwise be criticising the Royals for being to stiff, reserved and stand-offish are now complaining when Harry parties in Vegas!

What in hell does Harry's geneology have to do with this? However, since Pilobox4 brought it up, Harry, while part German background, is a direct descendent of our own King Brian Boru, the princes' of Wales, the Scot kings and queens, the Danish royal family, the French and Spanish kings and queens, and others. His mother was also full English. I do not fault Harry here (except for being too trusting with the people he was with) - I blame the media for making such a big deal out of a 27 year old male sowing some oats! Compared to many of his royal English ancestors, he is almost saintly!

I think something is missing here. Did someone forget to designate this as an opinion piece? It's 99.9 percent biased opinion and maybe.1 percent news -- and 100 percent yellow journalism.

Kind of low for a journalist to refer to James Hewitt in the article. You forget that the Spencer side of the family has red hair and freckles. I would suggest Prince Harry favors that side of the family.
