You have to hand it to Michelle Bachmann, the Minnesota congresswoman has stolen Sarah Palin's thunder right from under her.
Palin was the anointed one. I felt she had a real shot at the Republican nomination, but along comes Bachmann to queer the pitch.
Bachmann is a smart cookie too and the alleged gaffes the media are trying to foist on her are of no consequence.
Barack Obama didn't know the right age of his older daughter the other day!
She has a good back story, a mother to several natural born kids and a foster mother to many more. She is a former educator who feels passionate about education.
It reads like a real resume, as against Sarah who has that two years of Alaska governor and little else.
Palin's daughter Bristol seems to be taking it personally.
Talking about Bachmann's dress sense she states;
"I think she dresses a lot like my mom," Bristol said. "But a lot, a lot of women have done that the last few years. I do think it's odd, you know, seeing people with red blazers with their hair up with glasses."
"I don't know if she's wearing glasses but you want to be hummmm, do you think that people don't notice you're dressing like my mom?"
Wow this could get catty but rounds 1 thru 6 to bachmann so far.
Every day she is in the spotlight is a day Palin does not shine.

The real story here is Ed Rollins who was born in Boston, into an Irish Catholic blue-collar household. It's his behind the scene political "magic" that has re packaged Bachmann from the "flacky loose gun" into the candidate we all saw during the debate.

I'm not sure what Bachmann's position is but Palin is on record as wanting energy independence, living within your means, standing by your allies in the middle east, and looking after the less advantaged people rather than aborting them. This makes her a nut-job? Please clarify.

The Unnamed Candidate to watch for is Rick Perry. The Tea Party is not stupid. Bachmann, and Palin are the undercard for the Tea Party. They will do the dirty fighting against the RINO's (Romney, and Huntsmen). Rick Perry will come in later as the Statesmen, that he is. Note: RINO is Republicans In Name Only. The Tea Party does RINO hunting in the primary. The Strategy bumps off the RINO's, while Rick Perry is on the side lines.

We had the most talented, experienced woman right in front of us in 2008, and let her go- at least she is still working hard for us as Secretary of State.

Maybe Bachman and Palin have some Irish Connection, it's relevant if they have. There are over 40 Million can trace their roots back to the Old Sod.

You don't mention the only job that the obama has ever held was "Community Organizer" before he spent 2 years in the Senate(without introducing ANY Legislation),when you belittle Palin's work history. She was also a small topwn Mayor and according to all the 24,000 e-mails the liberal press foamed at the mouth over ,she was deeply concerned about the running of her State.

Strange to see haasny007 saying 'please' and 'thank you' in his post. Denotes good manners, strangely at odds with his 'nut jobs' comments, don't you think?

How do you choose the lesser of 2 whack-jobs? Pity a person who would vote for someone based on their looks.
