You have to hand it to Meghan McCain.
While her Republican colleagues hem and haw about Christine O'Donnell their candidate for senate in Delaware she gets right to the point.
Kind of like her old man used to be actually. At 26 she's a chip off the old block, (they are pictured above), and may well have a political career ahead of her.
McCain said O'Donnell is "seen as a nut job."and is "making a mockery of running for public office."
About time someone called a spade a spade don't you think?
Christine O'Donnell is not fit to run for dogcatcher and the world knows it.
Anyone who opens a campaign ad by saying "I am not a witch" has already lost all credibility.
It is appalling to see some Republicans try to cover-up for her.
Karl Rove said something similar to McCain but was quickly hushed up by the powers that be.
On ABC's "This Week," McCain also said O'Donnell "has no real history, no real success in any kind of business."
"And what that sends to my generation is (the message that) one day, you can just wake up and run for Senate, no matter how lack of experience you have," said McCain, 26, who is author of the new book, "Dirty Sexy Politics."
"It scares me for a lot of reasons, and I just know in my group of friends, it just turns people off, because she's seen as a nut job," McCain said.
And a nut job she will continue to be.
McCain has done the Republican Party some service by forcing them to examine how someone like O'Donnell gets elected.

patrickesq -- A person of your 'esq' caliber so out of sorts because of 'nut job' comments to one more poorly thought-out article on IC should first be able to gauge the inanity in the words emanating from the author of the opinion piece.. who should have actually 'known better' than to defend the words of a lame-brained legally blond broad, who has had nothing of worth to say since the first scream she threw out while exiting her mother's womb. --- But who's counting the ways in which Roberts grabs opportunity that comes his way while looking for material to portray those crazy Repubs in the most unfavorable light? ---- His, dontcha know, is a 'situational' mind that likes or dislikes, loves or hates that which suits his purposes, and if it happens to come via a shallow, barely articulate chick from that 'other camp'... who is he to disdain the gift? --- So patrick, save your liver from harmful toxic secretions by not reading the 'fatuous attacks' that risk damage to your health and future illness, and rather concentrate on performing better in your lawyerly practice. Thereby depriving us of the pompous wind-bag displays of verbal dexterity which are so anachronous outside the confines of the ambulance chasing domain. --- PS: Send us a missive of gratefulness if you think that was 'intelligent.'

Today's big news. O'Donnell does not understand that the separation of church and state is required by the 1st Amendment prohibition of an establishment of religion.

Meghan McCain likes attention and approval. She lives for articles like this. She's willing to sell out for the approval of the Patrick Roberts of the world. She sure has lots to be proud of... /s
patrickesq | Oct 18, 2010, 07:32 PM EDT
I am truly amazed at how many 'nut jobs' submit comments to the articles, such as this one on McCain's statements, focusing on political issues. Their inane statements never focus on facts or ideas, but merely fatuously attack everyone they disagree with, without being able to say anything intelligent.
cathy/marty | Oct 18, 2010, 06:14 PM EDT
Weather Christine O'DONNELL is a nut job or not I do not believe that Meggan McCain has the right to say that. Ithink Meggen is trying to make a name for herself. Her father was no prize package for President. He should have kicked Obamas ass. And never challenge nim. She was nomenated, let her run.
maloney | Oct 18, 2010, 05:16 PM EDT
You have to hand it to meghan mccain. Patty roberts proves once again how to do an article with no brains. His support of pilsbury dow girl mccain, who's claim to fame is that she wrote a book the size of a childrens book, shows just how stupid IC & roberts is.

Well Seamus you do't want opinions from "that family'... yet you chose an idiot for prez who said he had 'visited the 57 States in the US' while campaigning??? I think the country is safe with the power of the ballot box in the hands of people like you.
SeamusMor | Oct 18, 2010, 04:10 PM EDT
John McCain chose a lady who did not know that there are two Koreas to be his running mate. I am not in the least bit interested in hearing about the political opinions of anyone from that family.

Yes, I think everyone who writes for Irish Central is a "Liberal Loon". What real history, what real success does Megan McCain have?. She became known when she campaigned for her father. She didn't do a very good job, he LOST, he didn't even campaign with any real enthusiasm. O'Donell is no more a NUTjob than Pelosi, Reid and a lot of other tired old Politians Washington, that includes Daddy McCain. The last guy that said O'Donell couldn't be elected "dogcatcher" eat his words. Patrick may have to say the proverbial dog eat his research of the facts. Niall, please get some decent writers, you are surrounded by pathetic people. As I have said previously, this is a scary time for Dems.
IrishTierney | Oct 18, 2010, 01:57 PM EDT
Is everyone who writes for Irish Central a liberal loon? I know Patrick Roberts is a liberal retard (a.k.a. lib-tard). Who gives a rats-ass what Megan McCain thinks of Christine O'Donnell anyhow. To say she correctly exposes. The only thing she correctly exposed was her big foot sticking out of her big mouth. Good job of reporting Roberts. You have proven to everyone what a hack writer you truely are. Why don't you do some actual reporting instead of this half-ass editorial. Maybe you could report on how the morons who live in Delaware could elect an idiot like Chris Coons. Now that would be some good reporting.
2BorNot2B | Oct 18, 2010, 01:56 PM EDT
McCain also believes that political inexperience is dangerous to the nation, but since many of our problems have been caused by entrenched experienced politicians, take this, like almost everything else she says, with a grain of salt: McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., said that the message, “that sends to my generation is: one day you can just wake and run for Senate, no matter how [much of] a lack of experience you have. And it scares for me for a lot of reasons.” “I just know, in my group of friends, it turns people off because she’s seen as a nutjob,” she said. ---- Anybody can run for political office, and I thought that was a good thing because it was intended to keep the elites from having an unbreakable grip on power, occasionally resulting in dingy kids with unmerited Sunday morning talk show clout. That’s not the kind of progressive, open-minded “just way left of right-of-center” thinking on which Meghan McCain claims to pride herself. --- In any case, that “nutjob” is out-raising Harry Reid’s pet by a two to one margin.--- Did I just waste time talking about what Meghan McCain said? Sorry about that — time to go watch football now! ---
himself1 | Oct 18, 2010, 01:56 PM EDT
This is a disgraceful article. Meghan McCain is a spoiled rich brat. The only reason you would print anything she says is that she will regularly bash real Republicans, and this is your reason for existence.
2BorNot2B | Oct 18, 2010, 01:52 PM EDT
A BETTER article than this democr-ass-kissing commentator could ever dream up. Couldn't post the link but just google Doug Powers and get a load of the pic the author posted to remind himself of inflating his tires...HA, HA, AND WELL DESERVED HA! ABC billed their “This Week” program this morning as featuring “four powerhouse guests.” One of those four “powerhouse guests” was John McCain’s SUPERGENIOUS daughter (if it rains today it’s because David Brinkley is up there weeping at what his show has become), who offered some powerhouse insights on the Delaware Senate election: "Meghan McCain, author of the book “Dirty Sexy Politics,” said Christine O’Donnell, the Republican candidate for Senate in Delaware, was real trouble. ---- “Well, I speak as a 26-year-old woman and my problem is that, no matter what, Christine O’Donnell is making a mockery of running for public office,” McCain told anchor Christiane Amanpour. “She has no real history, no real success in any kind of business.” --- IN THAT CASE, O'DONELL SHOULD FORGET ABOUT THE SENATE AND RUN FOR PRESIDENT! Maybe I’m just in a grumpy mood, but it’s annoying when people have to state their own age and sex to remind listeners who they represent. “I speak as a 26 year old woman…” Well no kidding! Actually I think Meghan McCain speaks as a 17 year old valley girl, but what do I know? -- continues.....
chesapeake | Oct 18, 2010, 12:43 PM EDT
She may be all that was said...BUT, her "Republican" opponent in the priamry election was a RINO who voted with the Dems in most inmportant issues; and they would, at least, know where an established Dem was coming from.
mhichil | Oct 18, 2010, 12:43 PM EDT
Christine O'Donnell does not need anyones help to prove her character flaws. She has a staff and the GOP /tea bags to do that for her
PhlutiePhan | Oct 18, 2010, 12:36 PM EDT
The Ms. McCain states "seen as". You state in a definitive manner. The only way that your statement is not libel is to use an incorrect quote from a third party. She has shortcomings. Karl rove should be the real target based on innuendos found on internet sites and his links with Mehlman.
jdi2269 | Oct 18, 2010, 12:24 PM EDT
THE REAL 'NUT JOB' WROTE THIS BIASED ARTICLE!
glorybe1929 | Oct 18, 2010, 12:20 PM EDT
Did Meghan Mc Cain ever do something foolish in her young life? Or will she, in her life as it goes along? If she ever does run for public office, the foolishness will come up and she will be the "nut case". In fact she should keep her mouth shut unless she has proof positive from a psychiatrist that O'Donnell is not fit to be a dogcatcher. I don't think dogcatchers are that mixed up. Everyone should have a job to do and do it to the best of their ability. What job do you hold Meghan? Haven't heard much about that lately, to put you in such a position to judge anyone..... Especially at your age. Just because your Daddy is a Senator, doesn't give you any privlidge as to your knowledge of a candidate. So until you've got something to back up your claims... Be Quiet. What O'Donnell said, was refuting a campaign lie about her life. So ..... nuff said. Remember.... What anyone sews, they reap.
etig1130 | Oct 18, 2010, 11:44 AM EDT
I would really like to know just what qualifications Ms. McCain has that she should be listened to by anybody? If she were a liberal pundit, she'd be at the end of a long line of O'Donnell bashers. Because she's supposedly a Republican, which I truly doubt, the lamestream media gives her a platform. Once her father exits the stage, she will be totally irrelevant....let it be up to the voters of Delaware who they want to represent them in the U.S. Senate. If the voters want Obama's big government "We'll take care of you" philosophy, then vote for Coons...if you you want smaller gov't, lower taxes, less reliance on the Feds, vote for O'Donnell...this is the one and only issue in this campaign. Saying someone is a "nutcase" is ridiculous. We all know where they stand, let the voting begin!
wuilso127 | Oct 18, 2010, 11:40 AM EDT
Givens: The McCains are ALL washed up. Pitiful! O'Donnell is an ignorant prole I wouldn't even want for a neighbor. The once and future US Congress and Senate are disasters. Both are broken beyond repair. The fear here is that we're headed for a Reign of Terror brought to you by the Right-wing wingnuts.
phoenixnurse | Oct 18, 2010, 11:07 AM EDT
McCain herself is a Nut Case! The McCain's are not Irish... they are not Catholics, we never see them at Irish events in Phoenix with one exception...McCain did a promo video to raise money for a new library at our Local Irish Center. The library fund was established by an Irishman who is a wealthy WASP who is all about the Brits! McCain may have an Irish name, but it ends there! Other than that do not be fooled by McCain or his loud mouth daughter who needs to get a real job and stop using her Father to advance her own agenda. Megan is a spoiled rich brat with nothing more than a loud mouth who needs to go on a diet! She has no room to criticize....
cpflann | Oct 18, 2010, 10:50 AM EDT
As a Delaware voter, I can confirm that Christine is a nutjob. However, there are serious issues regarding Christine that go beyond her more interesting opinions. She has yet to answer the questions regarding her use of campaign funds for personal expenses or her failure to report these diversions of funds to the IRS as income. She has done nothing but run for the US Senate for the last 6 years. She has never held any elected office or any position of responsibility in private industry. Her personal finances are a mess. She is an embarrassment to the Republican Party and to the state of Delaware.
irishfez | Oct 18, 2010, 10:47 AM EDT
MEGHAN McCain is the future of the Republican Party. They can't just rely on the really rich and the really stupid and the really rich & stupid!!
mace1246 | Oct 18, 2010, 10:46 AM EDT
Megan McCain is a nobody. Her dad is a wanna be republican, but we all know better. He is just about washed up, career is over. O'Donnell has the views of the Republican Party, and will do just fine. Look what they put in there, OBama who has no clue how to run our country. At least her views are not insane. OBama would do us all in.
Barbaracvm | Oct 18, 2010, 10:35 AM EDT
Megan is a RINO just like her father. O'Donnell has conservative values. O'Donnell was making fun of the liberals calling her a witch. Good Job Irish for taking things out of context. This is partly why Ireland and the US is in so much trouble. The liberals have to lie in order to get anyone to follow.
tom/peggy | Oct 18, 2010, 10:32 AM EDT
Christine O'Donnell won the debate. Obama and Biden head to Delaware to campaign for the marxist democrat who according to polls is 20 points ahead. Now Meghan McCain calls O'Donnell a "Nut Job". That slur is a better fit for Meghan McCain. They are worried about losing Biden's seat and will stoop to anything to smear O'Donnell.
yrrab24 | Oct 18, 2010, 10:28 AM EDT
"Meghan McCain correctly exposes Christine O'Donnell as a nut job" What a rediculously Biased headline!!!! That is pure Koolaid... McCain Is NOT the Republican party of the future his career is mostly done---sorry to inform you of tha facts, I know they really get in the way of Koolaid going down...

"no real history, no real success in any kind of business" , is this in reference to obama? why is it this rag always attacks the republicans? is it because it is a mouthpiece of the liberocats? why are you afraid of o'donnell, she's irish, you should be supporting her. you supported the kennedys no matter how many drunken escapades they engaged in. get a life.

As an Irish American, do you seriously believe that Christine O'Donnell represents anyone but herself? "loyal to America" what does that mean? Are you privy to any decisions she has made? Is it an American Ideal (or Irish for that matter) to not pay your bills? To make declarations about not agreeing with Supreme Court rulings than to not be able to identify a single ruling, let alone one that she disagrees with or more coherently explain why? America is becoming a reactionary buffoon, filled with selfish self absorbed individuals, who complain when their government does something they don't like, then complain when a group elected tries to get it back on the correct path. Which is not the path of self-righteous religious intolerant individuals, but that of self reliant, generosity to all peoples all over the world. It's ridiculous that those least able to afford the time to investigate their leaders, must instead turn to the rabble rousing anti-intellectual fools thrust in front of them. Christine O'Donnell is no more or less Pro American than anyone else. She is, as so many are, available for whoever signs her checks and keeps them coming. The country has moved steadily to the right since 9/11 fear has replaced reason, and righteous indignation at full volume has replaced all forms of communication. Add to the mix the internet where the most virulent form of anonymity persists to every comment, protecting the speaker from public identity, and you are given a seething mix ready to create fools in the government bent on getting into office, getting power and telling you whatever you want to hear to get your vote. By the way, This entire comment is intended for all sides, the left is absolutely no better than the right, Pelosi, Reid, and a host of the Dems are every inch to fools that Christine O'Donnell is, merely better at concealing their ineptitude
torbreezy | Oct 18, 2010, 09:03 AM EDT
Should Christine O'Donnell win (and I hope she does), she will vote for the commonweal . . . NOT . . . for the perpetuation of policies that are bringing our great country to the brink of disaster. It's NOT any more complicated than that.

Megan is certainly not a Republican. Sarah Palin is the best thing that ever could have happened. Somebody needed to expose the RINOs and help purge the Republican party of Progressives. Christine O'Donnell is loyal to America. Her opponent Coombs is not. That makes Christine O'Donnell the more qualified candidate. She is the cavelry. Holding the fort until the Libs can be fully exposed and ejected from the US government.

What has Megan Mc Cain ever done. She just happens to be the daughter of a flip flopper. Hey dude whoi wrote this, how much experience did BORAK have? Close to none. Is the AZ border still opened. Meghan McCain always behaves childishly and psychotically because she has a very unhappy childhood and sad family. According to the book Game Change by renowned national author, Meghan McCain's parents engage in extra-marital affair, her daddy likes to use profanities against her mum to the extent of verbally abusing her, her mum has suffered numerous mental breakdown. Worse, Meghan McCain's daddy has oftenly used obscenities and vulgarities against her to the extent of constantly verbally abusing her. - "At a scheduling meeting to discuss Meghan’s graduation, McCain learned that the commencement was a multiday affair that would require him to make several round trips to New York. “How many f***ing times to I have to go to f***ing New York this week?” he yelled. “How many f***ing times can you f***ing graduate from f***ing Columbia?” (p. 283)" Troubled children like Meghan McCain who have been constantly abused by her parents are suffering the deep mental scars. Thats's why Meghan is behaving as she is today. An act of rebellion and revenge against her troubled parents and the society
according2mark | Oct 17, 2010, 10:26 PM EDT
Meghan is continues to imply that she is a person of substance and a player in the Republican part based on her parentage her role in her Father's campaign. While O'Donnell has made some comments that I agree are a little odd, it is important that the folks in Delaware are voting for an individual to represent then and not the Republican party. The citizens felt that she was qualified to defeat a veteran member of the House of Representatives. Maybe Ms McCain needs to have a little more respect for the voters in Delaware and confidence in their ability to examine their candidates and select the best one,
