Media attempts to blacken Sarah Palin once again

The release of 24,000 e mails from Sarah Palin's time as governor of Alaska has created the kind of media frenzy that defies description.

The New York Times, Washington Post and major TV outlets rushed to Alaska and called for volunteers to scan each and every e-mail as if hidden treasure could be unearthed.

This was not Wikileaks or the Pentagon Papers or the Watergate files. This was the e mails of a governor of a very small state, politically speaking, one who just happened to end up as John McCain's running mate.

The media found zilch of course on this fishing expedition to end all fishing expeditions.

Palin talks about the Miss Alaska pageant, about the oil revenues, and about a thousand mundane things that governors of Alaska discuss.

The media overkill is a symptom of a sickness that cannot be explained by any self righteous blather from them.

The focus on Palin was ridiculous. She will hardly be the presidential candidate for the GOP next year. She is being held to a crazy standard where the media is setting out to catch her in a gotcha moment.

There was no gotcha moment which was drearily predictable.

The major exclusive (gasp) was that Palin was surprised her name had suddenly surfaced as a potential running mate.

The media should be ashamed of itself with this nonsense.


Palin is right, there does appear to be an incredible bias and attempt to nail her. Frankly it is distasteful.

As for the author of this piece of garbage (that would be you, Patrick) please explain why the VAST majority of Americans think this woman is an idiot? Are we all brainwashed by the "Stalinists" as the McCarthy-esque idiot who I quoted above states? Or are Americans smart enough to know a fool when they see one?

She's a loon with a folksy schtick and not much education. Eminently electable in the land of TV braindeath. Still sinking her head chin down on her chest at any sign of a knowledgeable briefing? Bachman is a complete basketcase but the only thing she shares with Palin is the knowledge that the US public has a very short attention span and if you insist on a lie long enough they'll get bored and want to watch more TV. Thats their secret. They are both bullshitters who know that their audience is sooner or later going to spot something colourful moving and forget.

Sarah attracts the jealous instincts of breeding females as they are sub-conciously threatened by her adorable male-magnet nature. She also attracts the unprovoked attacks of sexually frustrated males who suspect sub-conciously they may never mate with such a magnetic egg. This is the real and only reason Sarah may never become President.

Obama, Pelosi and crew have been baiting the Tea Party and conservatives for 2 1/2 yrs. Not one time has the right done anything violent. The liberals/progressives have committed acts of violence on several occasions including biting a finger off. Please let joan comment back before deleting this post like you did the last one. If you're insinating that I envy Ms Palin or want to be in a cat fight with her, you are so wrong, but if that little fantasy turns you on, go for it. And no, I didn't forget my meds. I always take them. Don't be so "holier than thou" - I'm sure there is a Democrat somewhere that makes you want to smack them in the face because of their smarmy mug. I'm just being honest.

Clancy, I'll tell you why I dislike her and btw, I don't hate her at all. She's very attractive and does a good job being in the entertaiment field. entertaining. I think she has found her niche and should stick to it. Also, I'm not a Democrat, I'm an Independent. I can't stand to listen to her. She doesn't make a lot of sense. She makes asinine statements, like she had an advantage because her state "is so close to Russia". Her knowledge of history is embarrasing - Paul Revere, among other things. Most importantly, she's a quitter. I listened to her speech when she quit and I couldn't make head nor tail out of what she was talking about. None of it made sense and I still don't know why she quit. When she doesn't know the answer to something, she babbles on with the little she does know and then adlibs the rest and doesn't make any sense. I think she would make a terrible president. I would fear for America. I don't think she is stupid, but her lack of knowledge on many subjects is astonishing. I also don't think she is real intelligent, but she is shrewd. And her snarky smirking face and the know it all words that come out of her mouth makes me want to smack her in the face - and I'm not a violent person and would never hit anyone. BTW if she was a Democrat, I'd feel the same way about her.

Only she "blackens" herself. She never thinks before she speaks or does anything. When she makes a mistake, like Republicans, don't ever apologist and say ...I made a mistake; constantly make exuses and in the process, make the situation worse.
