Mitt Romney
What will Mitt Romney have to apologize for next?

Being born perhaps, being  Republican maybe, perhaps for having a strong marriage and successful kids.
The liberal media has really shown its colors on this occasion slamming Romney for being a high school bully --allegedly.

Show me a high school kid and I’ll show you someone who at some point or other bullied or was bullied.

It is called growing-up but in the PC  world we live in it seems Romney’s actions almost a half century ago are fair game in this election.

Actually I’d like to know if he passed gas anytime in the past ten years and whether he apologized for that awful sin.

The GOP presidential hopeful has apologized for behavior that might have hurt anyone after he was described as the high school bully, picking on a boy he thought was gay, in a lengthy Washington Post report.

The article describes a young Romney as the leader of a pack of students at Cranbrook School, Michigan, where he bullied students, including one incident where he cut off a student’s long blonde hair as the victim screamed for help.

Oh my goodness, call the police and the Lord High Executioner?

Romney’s team told the Post he did not recall the incident, involving his fellow student who died in 2004, but other students described the attack as “vicious”.

The student with long blonde hair was John Lauber. A number of years later according to the Post’s article Lauber came out as gay to his friends and close family, after he was expelled from Cranbrook.

In the article described how Romney marched “out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber’s hair.

“It happened very quickly, and to this day it troubles me,” said Thomas Buford, the school’s wrestling champion, who said he joined Romney in restraining Lauber. Buford subsequently apologized to Lauber, who was “terrified,” he said. “What a senseless, stupid, idiotic thing to do.”

Romney the gay bully boy -- how convenient   in the week that Obama came out agreeing with gay marriage. Except it was a half -century ago, kids are kids, cruel yes and stupid also.
But this incident does not belong in a presidential race.

On Thursday morning Romney apologized for his action while speaking to the Fox show “Kilmeade and Friends”.

He told the host Brian Kilmeade “Back in high school, I did some dumb things and if anybody was hurt by that or offended, obviously I apologize for that…I participated in a lot of high jinks and pranks during high school and some might have gone too far and for that, I apologize.”

Romney denied that particular incident had occurred due to the sexual orientation.

“I don’t remember that incident. I certainly don’t believe that I thought the fellow was homosexual.
That was the furthest thing from our minds back in the 1960s, so that was not the case.”

Romney’s spokesperson told the Post “anyone who knows Mitt Romney knows that he doesn’t have a mean-spirited bone in his body. The stories of 50 years ago seem exaggerated and off base and Governor Romney has no memory of participating in these incidents.”

The Washington Post’s report also describes how Romney mistreated a near-blind teacher at the high school. According to report Romney allegedly guided the teacher, affectionately known as, “The Bat” into a closed door.

Up next how Romney tortured a house fly he captured in a bottle while Barack Obama fought for the fly’s release.

I was bullied in school and I got over it. But that type of bullying I received was annoying but non-violent typical of a school environment. It's only when bullying turns endless, unrelenting, violent or results in killing or injuring someone or severely impacts the learning environment that it becomes extreme enough. If Romney was the violent kind of bully, I would have a problem. He was just being another insensitive junior bigot with a teenage brain at the time. And agreed, he should have been more considerate and intelligent about not tying his dog to the roof of the family car for 12 long hours until the dog suffered distress. I am not voting for him for a zillion other reasons of a much more national impact of a negative type on the lives of millions.
WHY did he appologize in the first place and wait until now to do it? Because no one came forward u ntil he threw his hat in the ring for President. Had this story NOT come out it is not likely that after 50 yyears he would suddenly be sorry and say so. It is FAR, FAR, too late to appologize and have anyone think you are serious. He should want to forget those nasty incidents however, that IS NO EXCUSE. Trust me he did not forget, if he did we do not want some one that callous for President. He only wants to be president to force America into being mormans. We do not need this crimminal for President. VOTE NO ON MITT ROBBED-ME.
Mitt Romney is an idiot and the worst possible choice the GOP could have made in 2012.
what we are witness to is a classic example of what is refered to in Mormonism as "Lying for the Lord". If a question is asked and the answer will be counterproductive to your cause or cause the questioner to begin to distrust. Then you are obligated to lie for the greater glory. An in this case the Presidency of the United States. Romney has no position thus he has not changed or "flip flopped" on an issue. His only objective is to become President and fullfill the prophecies of Joesph Smith. Being, a Mormon will head the United States and lead first the nation and then the world into an era of Mormon Rule. Thus saving mankind from the depth os Hell. And the cluches of the brother of Jesus, Satin.
Yeah, and Bill Clinton didn't inhale when he smoked pot.
i think this attitude is COMPLETELY WRONG!!!!!! THIS WARRANTS A LOOK!!! it may or may not be pertinent in the end! it's clear the writer is a romney supporter and then to quote the romney campaign! if this were obama! i think romney lies a lot over lots of things! and ALMOST CERTAINLY HE LIED OVER THIS AND NOT REMEMBERING THIS!
Roberts you make light of bullying. You might want to check in with the mother of Phoebe Prince and reconsider after you do.
it's always darkest before the dawn.
That is a dark world you live in BrianO. Am looking forward to seeing you out in the light on some other topic, some day. Bye for now.
Defend a negative, add some fact or name, tie it to a half truth, make the lie to fit your narative and attack. Surely you have gotten use to the statist, leftists, model by now. history repeats itself, luckily we still have the vote and can peacefully change the government
Surely any normal human accused of such an act would know with certainty if he were falsely accused.
Tudish45@..The article states Romneys reply as not having any recollection, ie. he didn't do this act as written. The personal friend Mr White quoted in the article as being deeply affected by this incident had to be re written because mr. White had no memory of said incident but was asked his reaction to the story, look it up, to continue the hit piece started by the washington post is transparently childish on your part
BrianO, BrianO...what a childishly weak debating technique to stray so transparently from the point under discussion. Is Mitt dishonest, or is he a serial attacker with a defective memory or is he confused? OK assume the story is made up. Why doesn't Mitt then man up and deny the incident? What is in his brain that prevents that? Why would he issue a conditional "if" statement parading as an apology for an incident that never happened?
So now since I disagree I am to be slandered, since you write it I must be as you characterize. Thank you for pointing out how the left works, Make the accusation, presume guilt, that is if the accussed isn't a leftist.
BrianO at 11:25PM yesterday. Now you are being silly. No trick question for the Mitt because the hair cutting thing is so spectacular that any normal person would remember it if it happened. So, just did you do that or did you not? Your conditional apology leaves us to think you did that same kind of battery and hate crime so often you honestly don't remember this particular victim. And that combination of physical assault and lack of empathetic memory is characteristic of a psychopath.
