Could Keith Olbermann end up at Fox News?

Not as crazy as it sounds.

Now that the leading light of MSNBC has abruptly quit he is a free agent.

If Fox wanted to end any hopes MSNBC ever has of closing the ratings gap the best move would be for them to hire Olbermann.

It would also sustain them against any charges that they are not fair and balanced.

Sure they have hired some house liberals like Alan Colmes who was a farce to begin with.

But hiring Olbermann might be the smartest move of all.

That is if they could work with him.

He is notoriously prickly and a prima donna.

But there are plenty of those over at Fox and Roger Ailes has managed to handle them all.

So it might not be such a stretch after all.

Meanwhile, MSNBC has a ready, made replacement in the terrific Rachel Maddow.

So Olbermann is not as big a loss as he might have been a few years ago,

Still the suddenness of it all is extraordinary.

No doubt it will set the conspiracy buffs chin wagging for some time.

But imagine what a move to Fox might do.

Crybaby liberalism.
I pose a question: Is there any link between one's political support (left or right) and the responses that included such anti-Fox comments? Just looking for the truth!
What happened to Don?
Come on, you can't just write imaginary headlines about what "could" happen. Let me give you some actual, first-hand facts: I worked at Fox in the salt mines when Olbermann did his last tour there. The guy wears out his welcome everywhere he works. He's just not a team player, as many people are. He's very brittle and angry, which is not unique to TV people. But believe it or not that kind of abuse of staff was not tolerated at Fox in those days (O'Reilly being a notable exception). In any case, Olbermann's followers are hardcore Fox haters. To them, Olbermann going back there would be like the Klan hearing the Grand Wizard was the new host of Soul Train -- a legendary African-American show here in the US.
The left have no brains btwn them, especially the nosy out of towners.
The Fox clones do not have a heart between them.
anyplace they hang their hat is home - that's the power of being g-d's own.
@ EphraimKibbey.. Great post. Democracy works best with an informed and fact based voter. Fox promotes it's own narrative and distorts each political situation to fit this narrative.
I believe that at the heart of every man is the search for truth. Perhaps he can find it at Fox.
If Fox were to hire olberman I would have to quit watching. I have never seen a person with such hatred and venom for those he doesn't agree with.
An embarrassment even to MSNBC.
The lefts efforts to control the media has failed so far. Now it's the left that's biting the dust. Just keeps getting better by the day.
Keith' intellect would embarrass the retards at Fox.
What is with all the name calling on here? I thought this was a thinking crowd. Only when people have no facts upon which to base their arguments do they resort to that kid stuff. That is the message you are sending. Fact - Keith Olberman is hated by the right because he shows right wing politicians, that they think are great, saying one thing in one instance and then doing the opposite, saying the opposite or being shown to be a liar with another clip. Video can make it impossible for the propagandists to get away with their takeover of the minds of Americans as long as we have a free press. As soon as I heard sthe rumors about the Comcast deal, I had a sinking feeling. I believe that seagreen has explained what happened and what the future holds very articulately. To those who are devoted fans of the Fox commentary shows (excluding local new programs,) I challenge you to check the facts the next time your favorite Fox star makes a statement with out backing it up with video facts. Please search out the truth on the web, in your library or from the individuals involved. Our nation is still cleaning up from the last bout of mismanagement and I'm not sure how much more she can take. If someone just tells you what you want to hear and then uses you to their own advantage while laughing all the way to the bank, it is going to make you really angry when you find out that you were being lied to. Do not let yourself be used by the people that own the media - seek out the truth! And PLEASE, we all are Americans, love our country, and want to make it a better place for our kids, so the name calling just raises everyone's blood pressure without changing anyones mind. Do your arguing with facts!
This set of idiotic comments from the rabid right wing has given me my biggest laugh of the week. Thanks so much. Now that you've had your fun with the fantasies, how about some reality? 1. Olbermann was probably forced out, not so much by MSNBC but by Comcast wanting to muzzle him once the merger was done and him not wanting to be muzzled. 2. Olbermann has said as far back as April he wants to start up his own media outlet, something like Arianna Huffington has done, which would make him -- a. his own boss -- and b. a lot more money. (Yes, Liberals can be avaricious, too.) 3. As much as it would be fun to watch that wolf-in-sheep's-clothing, Ailes, try to control Olbermann, I can't believe anyone is actually fronting this as an idea. Fox does propaganda and having a true liberal on the payroll would hurt their brand. Ailes may be spawn of the devil, but he's a smart little demon and I seriously doubt he'd be dumb enough to do that.
