  I have lived in Brownsville Tx. & Scottsdale Az. Now NC. They don't do jobs Americans won't do, They do any job the crooked business man gives them for half of the minimum wage, working under the table, not paying taxes. They are enslaved by this situation. While the crooked polititions & employers get rich. At the same time the same illegals collect welfare, foodstamps & every other govt. handout available. You can't help them, they won't help themselves. Give them rubbers for birth control & the children use them as baloons. Give them seeds to plant & they eat the seeds. You stupid liberals are really the illegals worst enemies because all you do is throw them a bone so you can pat yourselves on the back & tell the world what wonderful people you are. You talk about something you know nothing about showing your stupidity every time you open your mouthes.

  I agree with you, Maloney. the US can't support the world. Immigrants who come into the country should come in legally and follow the legal process. The thousands that come in illegally every year are eating the US from the inside. Our southern border IS starting to look like the poor, crime-ridden place they left.

  BTW if we did not go following the US into stupid wars that are supposed to bring democracy (a democracy that cannot be guaranteed to your own people -see the patriot act) we would not have enemies!! Every western democracy has a responsibility to help those in the rest of the world who supply the OIL and GOLD our wealth is built on! So either help make their countries better ie irradicate diseases globally not just in western countries and you wont have to worry about the illness an immigrant will bring!!

  maireadinmelb...poor clueless dolt. They pour across the US border like cockroaches or rats, bringing sickness & disease, bedbugs & crime. They want to make America into the same hellhole they left behind. They don't want to learn the language or follow the laws. The biggest problem as I see it is they keep good people from other countries from coming here because of quotas, including the Irish so don't talk about what you don't know. The US has laws & they should be obeyed. This is not welfare for the world. If the US goes down who will bail out your arses when it hits the fan?

  It is the US Constitution and the US Bill of Rights. Yes America wants to see other countries adopt its model so they can have some semblance of freedom too, but our country is a sovereign country and its laws are sovereign. Sorry but it is not the worlds country, we are just the shining beacon on the hill for others to aspire too.

  If you are aware of any of Thomas Jefferson's writings and study he wrote not just for americans. THat is why he and Adams fell out. Further it is all based on the French document "The rights of man" Further supposedly the americans were so eager for the UN to promote this ideology the world over!! Either you believe the words "that all men are created equal" or you dont - there is no exemptions, just hypocrisy! And dont forget with rights comes responsibility ie protecting the rights of all not just yourself!!

  The US constitution and bill of rights were written for United States Citizens. Otherwise they would be called the World Constitution and the World Bill of Rights.   I don't see how getting a first rate USA primary education and health care is PUNISHMENT, it gives them a big leg up on their law abiding neighbors back home when they return, I know many who have returned and since the know English and have contacts in the USA they are doing great, better than their neighbors who didn't break US laws.

  I personally know many foreign students who want to attend college in the USA, and have been accepted at US colleges, and paid thousands for application fees, but the US government will not give them a student visa because there are already too many foreign students in the USA, many who entered illegally, the Dreamers!! All these illegal Dreamers are keeping deserving legal foreign students out of the USA!! What the heck kind of backwards system is that, not enforcing the laws then penalize the people who obey the laws? This is exactly why the US immigration system is broken, the US is basically telling foreigners to break the laws, that is how you get in!! Even worse, the US allows Mexicans to break in much more easily than any other nationality, giving Mexicans a 100 to 1 immigration advantage over everyone else in the world.

This is just like all the other amnesties which increased legal immigrant waiting times, this amnesty will once again increase legal immigrant waiting times even more. Since the requirements are very low, just a GED and fake documents purporting to show two years at a trade school, the millions who qualify will displace millions of legal immigrants. Plus since it will benefit 100 Mexicans for every Irish who benefits, Mexicans will do the displacing, Irish will be the ones displaced. So much for equal opportunity and non-racism.

  I agree. Any child over the age of 13 should be given citizen ship but should be made to pass the test by the time their 19 or should be sent back to their country. New babies should not be or under 13.
