An influential Washington journalist has suggested that Barack Obama should pick Hilary Clinton as running mate in 2012 in part to to neutralize Sarah Palin.

Sally Quinn wife of former Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee puts forward Clinton’s virtues of being tireless and relentless as major bonuses if she was to be a running mate.

She also holds a broad appeal to independents. She adds that Clinton would also “neutralize the effect of Sarah Palin.”

She writes “Hillary is far more qualified to be president than any of the Republicans being considered today, including Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal, Tim Pawlenty and Palin. arguments that were once pitted against Hillary Clinton have now evaporated as she carried out her roles cheerfully, thoughtfully, seriously and diligently."

As Joe Biden has no intentions of running for presidency Quinn believes that it would be no problem for Obama to choose Hillary as his running mate for the 2012 elections and have her step down as secretary of the state then to begin campaigning. Biden could then take her job

Quinn maintains that Clinton is doing an incredible job as secretary of state.

She said “She has managed to do the impossible:
She is the ambassador of the United States to the world, maintaining her credibility while playing the bad guy to President Obama's good guy, such as with North Korea, Iran and Israel, and still looking good.”

Though having been defeated in the presidential election she does not show any bad blood about her position or the roles that she finds herself carrying out.

“If Clinton is dissatisfied with her role, you would never know it. She has been loyal and supportive to the president and has maintained a good relationship with him and with others in the White House.

If she is being left out of the policymaking, or being sent on trips to keep her out of town, she has not shown it,” said Quinn.

An interesting take:" Hillary is a star on a weak team"
The blind leading the blind- George Soro's Puppet, and Hillary Billary- would make a great comedy team in Sverdlovsk or someplace in Outer Mongolia, But NEVER as The duo in D.C. Can't waith to kick this bum out of office.
What on earth has she done that makes her qualified for the job? Oh yea, wife of Billy, that's it.
Vice President ????? OMG, she should run for President. I would be so disappointed if she ran as his Vice President - she is so much better than that!
If Obama runs in 2012, he will get smashed. Americans have caught on to him and want him OUT. I can't think of a worse combination...Obama and Hillary...both socialists wanting the government to be Big Daddy to all of us peons who don't know how to take care of ourselves. Our once wonderful country is going down the toilet.
Clinton will challenge Obama's re election because Obama's adm in tanking, the economy is still in the tank and will worsen after tax increases next year. Put a fok in Obama-he's done
America will have a woman President one day but it won't be Palin.
hilary should have been President
Will one of you Hillary sycophants point out any accomplishments she has made since she has been a senator and especially as of late the secretary of state? Unless you consider being a pathological liar an accomplishment. With her as Secty of state our enemies don't fear us and our friends don't trust us. Please one accomplishment towards any situation in the world, north korea, iran, iraq, pakistan, etc.
You really must have your head up a racoon's behind to give serious consideration to Sarah Palin for president of the US. The job of governor of the state of Alaska was too stressful for the intellectual light weight, so she quit. Running this country, and facing the intelligent leaders of the rest of the world requires someone with the capacity to think. Think about it!! She wouldn't be able to "wink" her way out of serious world situations..
I wouldn't Vote for "OBama" if the POPE was His running "Mate"
All of this only makes me remember how discouraged I was in 2008 when the Democratic leadership decided to come down on the side of BHO versus HRC. Something about being worn out with the Clinton's which is bit like saying I'm getting tired of watching Kobe Bryant play since he's a bit imperious.
I would support Clinton for President. She is an intelligent woman, something Palin is not. Palin and her supporters eschew intelligence . . . and what they call elitists, not realizing that this country needs intelligent people at the helm, not cheerleaders that believe the world is less than 6,000 years old.
What are you talking about Obama's VP in 2012? Obama won't even be president anymore after 2012. His time is up. Lets just hope the damage is not irreversible.
What a foolish idea. Hillary should run for President in 2012. If she doesn't and Sarah Palin does I will vote for Gov. Palin. She is qualified despite Sally Quinn's vacuous assessment of her. It says more about Quinn and her inability to recognize that President Obama had no qualifications. But that is too painful an admission, so she belittles Palin's considerable accomplishments. Gov. Palin and Secreatry Clinton are both more qualified than Obama.
