Good riddance to Glenn Beck, Fox finally pull the plug

Like so many motormouths before him Glenn Beck has now bit the dust with the announcement that Fox will end his show later this year.

Hallelujah!

Fox pulled the program for one reason alone -- Beck had started to hemorrhage audience and advertisers because of his increasingly wacky story lines,which included end of days fantasies and attacking Jews among other victims.

He lost “over 300 advertisers.” James Rucker, the executive director of the group,Color of Change said in a statement, “Fox News Channel clearly understands that Beck’s increasingly erratic behavior is a liability to their ratings and their bottom line, and we are glad to see them take this action.”

When it comes to the bottom line there are few better than Fox. Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, etcetera, know where the line is drawn and never step over it, They undertand they are entertainers as well as opinion makers.

Poor deluded Glenn Beck really believed his nonsense and now bears the full weight of his incipient mental breakdown.

Fox did the right and merciful thing and pulled the plug.

Goodbye goofy Glennie, it wasn't nice knowing you.

Another biased liberal report. Wonder why liberals are so afraid of conservatives that they spend a big portion of their lives trying to bash conservatives. If you took the time to watch Glenn Beck's show he researched/investigated those things he brought to the American public. He "outed" communists within the President's innner group, etc. Wonder why you didn't know that? I truthfully didn't watch Fox News until, out of curiosity, I watched simply because of all the other networks basing Fox. Thank you for that. I am now an avid viewer. Guess you guys helped to keep Fox on the map and why they have such high ratings. Keep up the good work.

Beck is still a Fox employee. He will continue to work for Als along with his many other endeavors. Before the year is out his haters will wish he was still doing his 5 pm show. I for one can't wait. For his supporters he is still on radio, on the net at GlennBeck.com and TheBlaze.com amoung other places. The shows not over yet. So Patty Roberts you got it wrong again. The best is yet to come.

Sorry, Pat ... But you are among Beck's many detractors who base their judgment of Beck upon their own biased perception and that of many who have never really listened seriously to what Beck has been exposing. I will be the first to say that his histrionics detract from his message, much as Rush Limbaugh muddies the waters with his bombastic style. However, it seems evident that most of Beck's material has been carefully researched and authenticated in my personal view, inasmuch as I am old enough to have lived through and actually investigated some of the web of interlocking conspiratorial subversion and propaganda of the far Left. Granted, some of his material seems outrageous, even outlandish, but alas it is just too hard for most Americans to conceive of the web of deceit on the Left that Beck has been exposing. Regretably, much of it is not new! Go back through reports of various Congressional committees such as Interlocking Subversion in Government Departments and the like ... Published detailed records that appear to have been later buried and disregarded by a public and press afraid to explore what seems to be far fetched, but is actual history. Wake up! I'm old enough to remember other glib politicians who promished "real change": Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini for example. When will the public stop adulating "The Emperor's New Clothes"?

Hancock - yes, I guess it would, if they are so disgusted with IC that they complain about the writers of the articles that are written here. Of course, if they don't mind the writers and the articles - and they just want to have a place to bash Fox, then I guess they'll keep right on doing it.
