Glenn Beck calls for new 'Ellis Island' solution to immigration

Glenn Beck says the American laws on immigration need to be overhauled.

In a town hall event in Florida, Beck suggested it was time for a new deal, an "Ellis Island," type of deal.

"People who are from a different country understand this country because they know how crappy their country is," he said

"I think we need to lead the way on illegal immigration, not amnesty. Legal immigration. I think we need to start an Ellis Island program. And we welcome people in here. You've got to go to classes.

"I'll help you learn English, because you are trapped if you don't know English. I'll help you. And you know what? People can play games with you if you can't speak the language. So teach them English. Teach them the real history of America."

Does Beck know that the pro-immigration people have been espousing such a way forward for the past nine years?

olovey...check your facts...when banks, auto conpanies, health care, student loans are nationalized, what is that called? Liveral utopia of ciurse, but there is another term for it. And that would be?

Glen Beck is a paranoid conspiracy theorist. Even before the election, he declared that Barack Obama was a Marxist. Then, after the election, he began calling Obama a communist and socialist. A few weeks later, he changed course and decided that Obama was actually leading us down the path to fascism.He warned his audience about Obama's supposed secret plot to grab our guns. Glen Beck is certifiable.

You should at least get some balance from Fox, listen to the other side. You don't get that when your only source for your "truth is abc, nbc, cbs, cnn, msnbc, npr & the nyt, your data is corrupted. It is telling when you react to anything Fox as if it was the wicked witch of the north reacting to getting water thrown on her....A mind is like a parachute, it only works when it is opened.
