Donald Trump makes an idiot of himself over Obama birther issue

Now we learn that Donald Trump is casting aspersions on whether Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.

And this self aggrandizing, bad comb over,egomaniac wants to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate?

This fake business genius who was handed his wealth by his father is casting aspersions on a man who embodies the American 'up from the bootstraps" dream?

"Everybody who gives even a hint of being a 'birther' ... even a little bit of a hint ... they label them as an idiot," Trump told ABC's "Good Morning America" in an interview on St.Patrick's Day .

"Let me tell you, I'm a really smart guy.(He is? how some he went technically bankrupt a few times and his casinos are still under water?)

I was a really good student at the best school in the country," said Trump, who went to University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. "The reason I have a little doubt -- just a little -- is because he grew up and nobody knew him."

"If I got the nomination, if I ever decide to run, you may go back and interview people from my kindergarten. They'll remember me," Trump said .

By contrast, "Nobody comes forward" to say they knew Obama as a little boy, Trump said. "Nobody knows who he is until later in his life. It's very strange."

Nobody knew him? Here is how Katherine Nakamoto, Obama's kindergarten teacher, described "Barry" Obama, at age 5, as "a cute, likable, heavy-build child."

"I could visualize Barry smiling, dressed in his long-sleeved, white shirt tucked into his brown Bermuda shorts, and wearing laced shoes," she told The Maui (Hawaii) News in a story published Jan. 21, 2009.

She also showed a photo she said was taken in 1967 of Barack Obama's kindergarten class.

The Obama campaign has also produced a certification of live birth in 2008 that reported his birthplace as Honolulu.

He attended kindergarten then moved to Jakarta,Indonesia with his stepfather and mom at age 6.

Trump is a birther because he wants to run for president next year or so he says.

Bring him on! Would love nothing more than the American people to tell this blowhard narcissistic idiot 'You're fired"

This guy makes Sarah Palin look like a genius.

Obama should produce proof of U.S. citizenship being that fact has been challenged. That would end this matter. His grandmother says that he was born in Kenya.

In general, my opinion of 'the Donald' is rather dim ... that being said he is spot on in this instance. Even if he's blathering on to get more publicity, I don't care. There is a GOOD reason the U.S. constitution reads the way it does, and MANY, MANY Americans (not that you'd read about it much in the drive-by press) are MOST concerned about this interloper and pretender who calls himself Obama. I feel compelled to post my voice that I am one of MILLIONS of Americans, and many thousands of Irish decent who love and respect our constitution much more than a man who has proven himself time and time again as nothing more than a narcissistic liar.

Every American, born in the country or not,should be eligible to take a run at the presidency. The constitution says American born only. Change the constitution - it would be better than listening to all the nonesense about Mr Trump or Mr. Obama.

@McNamara31...very well said, I totally agree with you. Really..what does an American look like? The answer is a picture of all of us. Donald Trump will never be President but in the event (God forbide) he makes it happen, he will never get away with what he does now. He will face the same political milarchy that Obama has run into. He will be unable to use his powers as he is accustomed to. Obama has been disapointing in some ways but in others he has come through. I wouldn't blame him if he didn't run in 2012.

What does an American look like today?..You?..This is the same mentality that thought the Irish immigrants didn't look or sound like real Americans. Last time I checked the last real Americans were Native Americans but you probably have some problem with them too. And BTW, I don't remember all this controversy with any other previous president. I wonder why? But we know why. Don’t we? Donald Trump passes you’re conservative birther test: He smears his competition, laughs about the power of big business and traded in his previous two wives for younger models. Just like Newt and Giuliani the “do as I say, not as I do type” of Americans. But that’s OK with you, because to you, they look like “real” Americans.

As a journalist, you are lacking. Your job is to give me the facts without name calling. Trump has very good ideas for the economy, which has been mishandled by Obama. You do not understand, that a certification of live birth is not a birth certificate. Obama is not an American. He does not think like an American, or act like an American. He is an African. I've had to produce a birth certificate to get the job that I got, so I think he should do the same. Personnelly I think Obama has an American birth certificate, but he won't show it. This is his form of fun.
