| Piers Morgan (John Shearer/WireImage) |
Morgan, reflecting the incredulity of non-Americans worldwide, has spoke out forthrightly and clearly on the madness of the lack of gun control laws in America.
Other commentators, afraid perhaps of the mighty muscle of the NRA, have hedged or pulled their punches on this issue even after the massacre of the innocents in Newtown.
Not Morgan, who is outspoken to begin with, and now he is being targeted by NRA members who want him deported.
They have gathered about 60,000 signatures for their petition, which states: “British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.”
Morgan’s crime was to make statements like this: "Why on Earth would you want more guns in schools after what's happened today?"
He has called the argument for more guns stupid, "This is exactly the argument that I have been hearing ever since I joined CNN," he noted. "The argument I keep hearing is 'well if everybody else was armed, it wouldn't happen.' It's a load of total hogwash!"
Sometimes it takes an outsider to tell the truth in any society and Morgan is clearly doing this here.
Over Christmas a madman shot two firemen dead in upstate New York, a man who had already murdered and yet was able to easily obtain weapons.
When will the madness stop?
As long as hosts like Piers Morgan speak out there is a possibility. But if Americans want to act like ostriches on the gun issue we can only hope there is not another savage school shooting in our near future.
I wouldn’t bet on it unfortunately.

I had a typo on similitude and its Sunday for the crazy wizard. How easy it is to make your day simpleton. I made no false statements therefore you misused "sohistry" I hope psyche tests will become mandatory for gun owners as you would not pass the test moron. I am bored toying with. Go enable another mass child killing, gunlover. I'm finished with this topic dumbo.

As a Tax-paying Legal Resident of the US, Piers has every right to air his opinions. I wonder how many 'Illegals' are wandering about the country brandishing their ridiculous guns around ....

Morgan is telling it like it is. However, there is evidence that in states that have legalized the right to carry concealed weapons the rate of violent crime, including gun-related crime, has gone down..... It may not make sense, but until we do make sense of it (or refute it), it cannot be ignored. If you are going to handle a problem, deal with it -- all of it.

"Your mis-use of similtude" Well, first of all lets correct your spelling and fallacious use of grammar. 1) the correct spelling and grammatical presentation of the word you quote is Misuse, get it correct if you are going to be pedantic! And I never used the word 'similtude' I have no idea what that word means but perhaps a great literary giant like you can inform all as to its meaning and give a clear definition, floors all yours. When it comes to the word "sophistry" I was being kind to you the word means "A false, but clever argument' I guess your dumb reply blows that one clean out of the water... simpleton. You see, I don't have to lift a finger to show you up as an ignoramus I just keep you posting use the right words, which are way over your little pin-head and you do the rest of my work for me.... Similtude....LOL... Well FMOB's...And you have the brass neck to call me 'THICK' .LOLOLOLOL...

That's fine, but has anyone asked Piers what he would do if he was confronted with a burglar who was about to kill and rape his daughter and or wife. The man in Connecticut who's family was murdered raped and house burned down has since changed his mind on gun control. Where you sit is where you stand. All guns kill. Hunters like to hunt. Gangs will hide their precious guns. There is nothing anyone can do. Metal detectors in schools. Perhaps having make the entrance the exit and plain clothes security men scattered about in schools is about all you can do.

And "basted" and "prevalent" misused and "weaved" for "woven" and contempt that has pores in it and "where" for "were" and ... oh darn, the English teacher in me is screaming "back to second grade! Who passed him along to third?" Morally thin, and so narrow minded he could clean both ears with a single motion of one cotton swab if non-stop logorrhea weren't pushing his ears a half-inch apart from each other. Oh that felt good. Now I can revert to my Catholic schoolgirl manners and my customary philosophic equanimity again! Cheers!

You sure are thick!! I answered your Question in all honesty and you ignore my answer and further more you fail to condemn Right wing terrorists. Your mis-use of "similtude" and "sophistry" only belays your ignorance. You remind me of the " Kings new clothes",you are so morally thin even a blind man could see through you

No doubt another well known nut job off his meds. Always the same. We changed the laws in this country about 35 years ago so crazies can't be incarcerated unless they commit a crime. Psychiatric Centers (mental Hospitals) are empty across this land and the crazies are amongst us pushing people in front of trains, molesting kids repeatedly, committing crimes, sleeping on streets and subways and (some) killing people. Lets get real and lock them up. Years ago gun laws were a lot more lax but crazies loose in society killing people hardly ever happened. So what changed? The law changed so let's change it back and remove the PEOPLE who do these terrible things.

Ya know, Mel, I have always thought of you as someone a little limited in the brain department. But, in order to prove it, I would have to get you to confirm it all by yourself. So I put in motion a little test, which in its own simple way, I would prove your cognitive ability to spot a fallacious argument basted solely on sophistry, you would be found wanting. Are you smart enough to spot the similitude? I don't think so. And I was right, you are clueless when it comes to expressing yourself in the English langue, or extrapolating how others use it, its all about content and how it is weaved into the prevalent contexts being used. I made a deliberate statement calling you a user of 'second-hand worn-out cliché's', like "a legend in his own lunchtime" and pored contempt on your silly endeavours and then gave you the perfect come back and slap-down by deliberately using a silly old cliché myself to see if you where on the ball, "Your done and Dusted" sadly for you it went right over your empty head into the hands of the keeper. Your only comeback was 'nit-picking'. Game, set and match to yours truly.LOLOLOL

Macho, please consider. Its a straight forward simple question with NO strings attached so no wiggling room from honest people required. Please answer the question: "Do you support a proscribed terrorists organization the right to hold onto illegal arms while at the same time demanding the vast majority of the innocent population of good law abiding Americans having legally held arms should hand them over to a government which is its self armed to the teeth.?" What's your simple answer? YES terrorists should hold onto their illegal arms and YES all good law-abiding American citizens should be disarmed. See... it ain't so hard is it? So, what's your answer? This is a NO waffle zone simple question YES and YES or NO and NO Of course I know the answer, but I want to hear it from you.

Macho- at no time and at no point have you attempted to refute or rebut any of my acquisitions regarding either you, or the 'armchair warrior' hiding in the land of OZ. you make the animus claim the 'armchair warrior' fray the land of OZ, has made pertinent points which I have failed to address? But you give no example of this failure? Are you some dumb ignoramus or a silly little kid with NO idea how a meaningful debate is structured? You ignored every word of my reply to you, never mentioned a word of it and come on here and expect to be taken seriously.....C'mon how thick do you think the posters that contribute to this forum are that you believe you can treat them with such scorn!!! My point is a simple equation the equivalence of which should be lost on NO one with a scintilla of intellect. Just to rub your ever growing and petulant nose in it once more, I shall ask the simple question, only because I know with every refusal to acknowledge it, on your part, or failure to offer a rebuttal condemns you for what I know you are, a terrorist toady. You can only defend and rebut such a claim if you address the allegation contain therein in the first instance. You have not done this because you are inept and at a lost in such a situation, in other words you fear the problem and so wish to avoid it like the plague. Not a word of derision pertaining to my post just empty waffle from an auld terrorists apologist. Now fug-off you amphoric nobody...!
