CNN’s Piers Morgan speaks the truth to Americans on gun control

I have never been much of a fan of Piers Morgan, the CNN host who comes from a British tabloid tradition, but I am now.

Morgan, reflecting the incredulity of non-Americans worldwide, has spoke out forthrightly and clearly on the madness of the lack of gun control laws in America.

Other commentators, afraid perhaps of the mighty muscle of the NRA, have hedged or pulled their punches on this issue even after the massacre of the innocents in Newtown.

Not Morgan, who is outspoken to begin with, and now he is being targeted by NRA members who want him deported.

They have gathered about 60,000 signatures for their petition, which states: “British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens.”

Morgan’s crime was to make statements like this: "Why on Earth would you want more guns in schools after what's happened today?"

He has called the argument for more guns stupid, "This is exactly the argument that I have been hearing ever since I joined CNN," he noted. "The argument I keep hearing is 'well if everybody else was armed, it wouldn't happen.' It's a load of total hogwash!"

Sometimes it takes an outsider to tell the truth in any society and Morgan is clearly doing this here.

Over Christmas a madman shot two firemen dead in upstate New York, a man who had already murdered and yet was able to easily obtain weapons.

When will the madness stop?

As long as hosts like Piers Morgan speak out there is a possibility. But if Americans want to act like ostriches on the gun issue we can only hope there is not another savage school shooting in our near future.

Since you decided to stick your ever elongating (Pinocchio) nose into something that had absolutely nothing to do with you, I have been kicking your butt all over the shoppe and taking great pleasure in doing so. I guess its that time once more. You come on here, an ignorant pompous Irish git who 'Ran Away' to Australia when the going got tough in your neck of the woods, and belly ache about how, good decorous law-abiding American citizens should hand over their guns and their only means of self-defence against a perfidious government. All the while you defend bank and post office robbing criminals, racketeers, standover merchants, who blackmail businesses for protection money; and murdered those who did not pay up, drug pushers and pimps that is the calling card of your terrorist mates in the criminal syndicate known as the IRA, which to day, has a number of monikers the RIRA the CIRA all are cast from the same mould and you have not provided one scintilla, not one skerrick of condemnation of the same. You have at NO time demanded your band of robbers and criminals hand in their ILLEGAL weapons, but demand a law-abiding citizen of the United States of America should be held to a higher degree. hypocrite!!! And I will not allow you, or any one else, to forget it. You're putty in my hands hypocrite! Your inferior argument is like your diminishing intellect it drops to the nefarious with each attempt to defend it.

As I said before ignorance is your forte. I put my case and tear you self righteous facade apart and you loose it.Neither do I have to justify myself to your narrow thinking. I see you pass over my remarks on North,Reagan and the rest of the terrorist you so adore . I say again you are a child killing enabler. As for "Avowing you case" Your case is yours and yours alone and means nothing. Have another swig of Jack and pay homage to your teaparty troglodytes(like Hannity) or go purchase another gun it appears that's all you're good for.

You just keep on avowing my case against you. Why, whatever will your fans think when they see how comfortably and easy it is for me to take you apart and hand you your ass on a plate. Your ineffectual and decrepit attempts coupled with silly dilettante to whitewash terrorism shows you up as weak and mendacious. At no time have you ever made a pertinent point, you have always been on the back foot, always on the defensive. You embellish toxic slander as that is the only way you know how to debate but that wont work with me. An obnoxious fellow to begin with and the fatuous otiose argument you bring to the table allows all to see you in a transparent light. Never mind 'Washington' that is a nonsense argument and displays how bankrupt your counterargument truly is. You are full of hubris and beating your hairy chest all the while declaring good honest law-abiding Americans surrender legally held arms yet, to date, not one word about the illegal arms held by murdering criminals, terrorists and gangsters. You are, as I have shown, the greatest hypocrite on this forum. You slabber on about 'freedom fighters' when in fact you are nothing more than a terrorist shibboleth!

wizard!! Washington and anyone who took up arms against the King were branded terrorist. Nelson Mandela was branded a terrorist by Thatcher and Reagan. You live in a country which bred more terrortist(in uniform) and led by terrorist who ordered the blanket bombing of Nth Vietnam,Cambodia and laos. Your government supported more terrorist than anyone else other than the Russians. You allow terrorist like Ollie North to roam the streets when he is responsible for giving cash to the Mullahs in Iran for Guns to murder innocent women and children in Nicaragua. So, lets get this missive back on track Mr Buttinsky wants all decent law abiding Americans who have guns to surrender those arms. While at the same time he defends the terrorist gang the murderous IRA, who have murdered many children, he has not said a word about this mob of gangsters giving up their illegal weapons. No. Because he supports criminals having a stock of felonious arms with which they murder and maim innocent victims. The impudence and hypocrisy of the malefactor supporter and his sanctimonious dribble stands out like a cold sore on a thin lip. Gun control is not about 'Guns' its about 'Control' period. A hundred million well armed American patriots weakening up to the fact their country is not being run for the sole benefit of Americans and the same mob that has them embroiled in numerous wars in the mideast are the same ones who have robbed their pension funds and bankrupted their country. All they did was change names all those murderers loitering around west Belfast and the Bogside in Derry planting bombs and murdering police men and robbing banks are now masquerading as the RIRA same dog different day. Unlike you, I have NEVER glorified, supported or defended murdering terrorists of any stripe EVER. I wouldn't give two-bob to an auld orangeman for many of them are just like you, supporters of terrorists. Your post decrying me is full of calumnies shank lies and spin. The wizard fails to state that the PIRA freedom fighters handed in their arms to the international monitoring commission and that the PIRA freedom fighters no longer exist and your orange brethern failed to hand in one bullet. Stick to what you know wizard(and that could fit in a thimble).You're extreme right wing views makes you an enabler of the mass shooting of children. BTW more children are murdered in the U.S. mass shooting than were ever killed in Ireland. And to add to your thimble of knowledge over 90% of children murdered in the north were done so by the British army or their surrogate orange terrorists.You live in a backwater wizard with a backwater mentality.

Smyrnian, I remember the old axiom "when a government fears the people you have justice when a people fear their government you have tyranny. There is only one party in America- the Republicart party. Two wing of the same bird. Two sides of the same coin. No difference. One robs your right pocket. The other robs your left pocket. You have a one party system in America no different from Communist and totalitarian police states. 98% of Americans are totally brain dead, clueless, and asleep at the wheel. It has been 12 years since the 9/11 hoax and the next one is going to be much, much worse. Gun control is going to be passed more and more along with ammunition control. More staged murders by patsies on psychiatric drugs. More and more rules and regulations to strangle the free market and lower your standard of living. More and more socialism and Big Government. More wars in the Mideast for the Greater Glory of Izrahell. The dollar will keep falling, while silver and gold will take off. After 235 years American will be just another Third World backwater like Britain. You guys need to take affirmative action and demand your government rule in the interest of Americans, to hell with the parasites that control your government.

It also records when the auld Unionists accrued a sizable number they too got their freedom. If I remember correctly, your murdering mob (PIRA) had plenty of guns, and still does, do we hear you calling for all their guns to be handed in? Don't forget the IRA murdered children too. Take away a people's right to bear arms and governments will enslave them. I would be well within my rights, when addressing you, to infer tis you who is a 'pea brain' but I wouldn't want to insult genus Pisum. "Blood soaked tissues" you say? And what 'blood' would they be soaked in? Would that be the blood of the thousands of innocent victims in Northern Ireland? You know, the ones that were murdered by your terrorist mates, while you hid your slothful a#se safely away in the land down under?
