In a surprise move, which is bound to get the entertainment world's attention, comedian Bill Maher has donated one million dollars to the Obama re-election campaign.

Politico.com reports that in California last night Maher made the surprise announcement.

Maher also stated that it is “worth a million dollars" to have Obama back in office.

"This is the wisest investment I think I could make."

He also encouraged other wealthy Democrats to do the same.

Maher had been very critical of Obama at times but recently, as the president began tacking to the left Maher has been far more supportive.

Bill, Great of you to do that. I did not have a million but I did give what I could manage. I love that man and pray for him every day.
Liberals can't stomach the idea of a white male Christian as president ever again.....after Obama you'll get the abortiion queen Hillary.
The so-called Super Pacs allow large donations. You cannot give more than a certain amount to individual campaign committees.
It is entirely appropriate that a clueless idiot should contribute to the campaign of a clueless moron. Not offense meant to the idiots and morons of the world.
Certainly a surprise to see left wing entertainers backing a left-wing president.
