Big Boost for Obama in death of Al Awalki the American traitor in Yemen

The death of Al Qaeda terrorist the American born Amwar Al Awlaki is a huge boost for President Obama.
While Republicans try to tear him down on every conceivable issue his national security credentials are once again clear to the world.
His predecessor George Bush never laid a hand on top Al Qaeda leadership despite all the bellicose rhetoric.
Obama has quietly and secretly struck like a cobra at the heart of the terrorist organization.
The American Al Awalki was especially dangerous as he had direct access to many disaffected radicals in the US.
His American background made him an out and out traitor and a dangerous enemy who had already done this country tremendous harm.
Now he has been killed, no doubt by American intelligence who have been doing a superb job in recent months.
While it is not a big as the slaying of Bin Laden it certainly allows Obama to wave his national security credentials high over his head in the next presidential campaign.
That is something at least that Republicans cannot take away from him.

O'Bama got NO BOOST from this attack. It was done by the USAF and the CIA. O'Bma's numbers haven't changed at all - he's doomed.

As soon as we put boots on the ground, we endanger our soldiers. A drone strike is far safer than a capture. The next safest is a Bin Laden-type Seals mission. Al Awalki was involved in Hasan's murder of 13 US soldiers, as well as several attempted attacks on the US. He was a traitor and an enemy combatant. He deserved to be treated as such.

what a bad road to go down,the constitution of the united states is one of the finest pieces of human legistlation ever written,sadly it has not been adered to by various administrations,aspecially kissinger and nixon who took the ilegal decision to bomb cambodia WITHOUT the permission of the american senate,which was needed to legalise those decisions,they the senate didnt even know about it till 7 months later,,resorting to torture,not using due process of law,transporting people to cuba,which they shouldnt be in anyway,leaving people in prison indefinately without charges,this is the spanish inquisition,not the constitution of the united states of america.to circumvent american law is the way of barbarians,these laws are what should make us better than other people,if we go down these roads how are we better than the torture ridden regimes we say we attack to bring justice human rights and freedom to people,if the british had had drones during the american war of independance and had taken george washington out,would that have been right as they regarded him as a traitor?i want us to be the good guys but i dont think we,the western powers are any more..

The killing of Al Awalki has nothing to do with political intenions, rather American security of it's people and our Armed Forces.Security of the United States has no political party in our intelligence community ... just like the men and women of our Armed Forces who are dedicated to defend all Americans.
