Amazingly, front runner Newt Gingrich has stated that he will take part.
Mitt Romney and Ron Paul have mercifully declined so far.
If it is a circus you want who better to provide one better than The Donald.
In the aftermath of the Herman Cain debacle the question is how weird and wacky the Republican contest can get.

Cain was leading a few weeks back, now he's pursued by a bunch of women claiming affairs who have driven him from the race.
There may be more madness to come
With Donald Trump as carnival barker anything can happen.
This is a man with the biggest ego in America and he will clearly hog the microphone and is deluded enough to think if he gives a bravura performance he might get to run for president.
Not even Newt Gingrich comes close to this guy on the ego stage.
He is only offering to host because he will do anything to hog the limelight.
If the others accept the GOP will have a very bad hair day indeed.

I don't believe Donald Trump has the biggest ego in the US, that honor goes to Barack Obama, and why not, he rose from being a common street hustler to the highest office in the land. It's no contest.

I suggest that Donald Trump lay out the format of the debate to the candidates and they can decide if it will be a potentially good or bad debate.

Hi jusweon - I DID work hard and get rich........but it wouldnt have happened if I hadn't had 1. A Dad with a college education, a split second decision as to whether to stop in and see an old friend.........and a minor accident with a light plane.............Actually about 7 total things like that............While I see so many people strugling to make ends meet, whose economic life has been ruined by the rich and greedy on wall street.................Have you ever heard of the word EMPATHY?...........Some people are just so blind to the troubles of others. Empathy is a foreign concept to a lot of republicans.

Loks like the GOPers the 1%ers have discovered Irish central.
As usual they are ranting against obama etc
why - because their religious base is the southern evangelical movement - the ones who loved Perry's N-word ranch hunting grounds..............And whose worst nightmare has come true in a black President..................If we thought the civil war was over and won, pls think again.

MegK311..Answer..NO. Trump is an opportunist. He's out for Trump and Trump alone. He realizes there's money to be made in this "baiting" of the presidency thing. Like Palin, Cain and Gingrich he's in it for the potential money, pure and simple.

Any truth to the rumour that Trump has asked Rosie ODonnell to run for President? Now that would top all of his stunts.

After reading the other comments it seems to me that the people writing are so jealous they can't stand it. Go work hard, get a life and maybe you to can be rich. Eat your heart out.

What people don't like about Trump is that he says it like it is no matter what. He sure tell everyone what Obama is really like and what he, Obama, wants to make the US a 3rd world country.

Anyone of the Republicans running for President would do a better job than the present occupant
of the White House. I will vote for anybody but Obama.
As for Trump he may love the limelight but he is a good business man. Could it be that some of you are jealous of his wealth?
