Casey Anthony
A 43-year-old Pennsylvanian man named Casey Anthony has been bombarded with Facebook abuse, since the Florida criminal that shares his name, was cleared of murdering her daughter last week.

Speaking to NBC News in Philadelphia, Anthony declared: 'I can't change my name, ladies and gentlemen,’

In a case of mistaken identity, the father has been inundated with friend requests, messages and wall posts since last week’s verdict was declared.

“After the verdict that day, it went crazy,” he told NBC.

“It was like everybody wanted to know and wanted to comment on this Casey Anthony situation,” he added. '“Who am I to take a child’s life”?’

“Then I’m sitting back like, excuse me? I’m not the Casey Anthony you think."

The man’s cell number was also displayed on his Facebook page and has been forced to vet all incoming phone-calls since, avoiding those with a Florida area code.

The father, who has two sons also named Casey, said the entire situation has gone from being “comical and scary” to “outright mad”.

The criminal Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her two-year-old daughter in 2008 last week. She is due to walk free this Sunday. The 25-year-old was found guilty on four counts of lying to police about the disappearance of her daughter.

Again, an irresponsible media builds up a frenzy to sell papers or promote it's stations and an innocent person is suffering because this media's manipulated audience is unable to discern between fact and sheer crap.
