Sarah Palin says she's on a crusade to bring the truth back to media.
(We didn't even know it had gone away.)
Speaking on the Jay Leno show last night she said it was time for Americans to be able to trust their media.
"I think the mainstream media is quite broken," she said.
"There needs to be a fairness and a balance there. That's why I joined Fox."
Apparently, according to Palin, the rest of the media (apart from Fox) is just publishing opinion masquerading as news.
Anyway, in betweeen promoting Fox, Palin did a good job of channeling Tina Fey channeling Sarah Palin.
Leno brought her back on as a guest comedy act and she did hit some zingers.
"I know these jokes like the front of my hand," she said in a reference to getting caught with what she called a "poor boy's tele-prompter."
She poked fun at L.A. saying that she was used to frozen faces from Alaska but in L.A. the frozen faces are usually botox.
But her best poke was reserved for Leno himself.
When asked about her future plans, she ran her hand along Leno's desk and said, "I hear once in a while this comes open.."
The woman's got a natural stage presence that's for sure.

I am surprised that you did not know that truth in media disappeared during Reagan's Presidency. Truth in Media was part of the FCC Fairness Doctrine, and President Reagan "signed off" on that Doctrine. The Fairness Doctrine was said to obstruct our Freedom of Speech under the First Amendment. So, as long as we lie in MEDIA (technically, a Public Forum), we can't be sued or held accountable for any statements we make. We can even say: President Obama is a war-mongering, Muslim, Communist, Fascist dictator, Socialist, idiot, etc., and, although a lie,is perfectly acceptable because I said it on the Internet--a Public Forum. What will become of us?
I, however feel that we cannot maintain a democracy without truth in media. How can we make intelligent decisions about our Government and our political representatives if we don't have the truth?
Personally, the fact that the media can lie--any time--any place (T.V. "news," the Internet, newspapers, magazines, political talk forums and radio) demands a major effort on my part to find the truth. Every single time I read a "news" report, I must take extra time to locate the actual primary documents and/or primary recordings and primary live speeches.
We may have more Freedom of Speech because of Reagan and all the presidents after Reagan, but I would love to sue someone for denying me my Constitutional Right to "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness."
Thank God, there are still credible and ethical investigative reporters who will not open their mouths to tell a lie. They can be found by just "Googling" the Internet for "Ethical Investigative Journalists."
Yes, we have been without truth in media for over 25 years. It shows, doesn't it?

sarah palin is smart, engaging, attractive, a successfulo governor and politically conservative ....a traits that enrage the left. The press in the usa is a mouthpiece for the left and fox is the only media outlet that gives both sides of the story ...even thought it1s commentators tend to be conservative ...but they are commentators , ...unlike cnn msnbc nbc abc cbs that presents their commentary as news

I am becoming more of a Sarah Palin fan now that I know how much she enrages the prideful, condescending fools in the leftist liberal camp. God bless her! With the demise of Airbag America, the liberal news media needs to cut its socialist poison with a little more truth so the American public will swallow it, but leftist liberal twits drink their communistic, obama-istic poison straight!

Does bringing "truth" back to media mean she will apologize for lying about the death panels lie she made up about health care reform?
Fox is a joke. Even Roger Ailes, its creator and head, said that Fox pushes myths and distortions.
Yes, she has the "presence" of a high school leader.
