So this is what passes for considered thought these days.
Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher (above) gets an ovation from Tea Party people attending a convention in Cincinnati.
Why?
Because he wants to shoot illegal immigrants.
Wurzelbacher and Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight (possibly better known as being Angelina Jolie's estranged father) were two of the star attractions at the Cincinnati tea fest.
"We need to get behind real Americans," said Wurzelbacher saying America shouldn't let "a bunch of liberal pansies" take away their rights.
"Illegal immigration?" he said. "Put a fence up and start shooting."
Clearly Wurzelbacher, (in more ways than one) is no WB Yeats.
Yeats used to worry that: "Did that play of mine send out/ Certain men the English Shot?"
Is no one else worried about the consequences of this kind of inflammatory oratory?

(continued) Then what's worse, you proceed to badmouth the REAL, LEGAL Americans for protesting what you've done, and attempt to deny their genetics if they don't coddle to YOU. Now suppose some American went to Ireland and did all of this; how would that be any less wrong?

btw richie, if you're illegal yourself, I'll turn your own approach right back on YOU: You're not really an American, you're just an Irish illegal who didn't even bother to come here the way MY Irish ancestors LEGALLY did; they had to suffer weeks on a creaky boat on the ocean to get here, and actually came here WANTING to be AMERICANS. You got on a nice, cushy, comfy air-conditioned PLANE, flew over here in just a few hours, and are now living ILLEGALLY and not even trying to assimilate.

Oh, so now all-of-a-sudden a person's POLITICS make them genetically Irish, eh? Interesting science...and I was already thinking you might try this approach, as the next step (not to mention the predictable equating of illegals with legit immigrants)...HA HA HA HA HA HA! richie, you're growing more convoluted and off-the-wall with each passing post.

If all the immigrants left this great country, the only souls left would be the native americans... You can travel with me on the plane back home if you like... I'm proud to call Ted Kennedy Irish because he stood up for us "illegals",

You see, richie, you are flatly incapable of arguing the actual issue, so you make a fool of yourself by calling into question someone's ethnicity because you don't know how else to come back at them, (I've had similar, predictable people try this exact approach and over again, to no avail). But unless and until you're willing to argue the actual points of the issue instead of making false and off-subject irrelevancies, you'll never be taken seriously. Slan leat.

That must mean that Teddy Kennedy was American, and not Irish, too...or Conan O'Brien...or Rosie O'Donnell....or....Eamon De Valera, because he was American-born...or...I trust you get the message. This is YOUR viewpoint I'm echoing, richie, not mine...see what an irrelevant cheap shot you're taking? And as I said several posts back, it has nothing to do with this issue. Exactly how teary-eyed are people supposed to get toward illegals, anyway, before they suddenly start becoming legal?

Yes, richie...IRISH AND PROUD, YA!!! You not only evaded the original issue by bringing up irrelevant stuff, now you've evaded the response to your evasion. I'm Irish and proud...and I want every single last illegal alien OUT of the USA...and Ireland, too. You support their lawbreaking, richie...I and the vast majority of REAL citizens do not.

First lets get this straight Angelina Jolie is NO LONGER ESTRANGED from her father Jon Voight. When Joe the Plumber said "Put a fence up and start shooting" I can't imagine that he meant to shoot all illegals in America. You changed what he said to fit your article. I think the WORD ILLEGAL speaks for it's self.
