An Irish newspaper appears to have fallen for an April Fool's day prank which claimed that Spider-Man 4 was set to be filmed in Ireland.
The story claimed that Spider-Man director Sam Rami wanted to use the town of Dundalk's massive wind turbine in the next movie.
The story, which ran in the Dundalk Democrat, quoted a Marvel spokesperson "Aprile Fulday" (hmm, what does that sound like?!) as saying , “We are delighted to be bringing one of our most celebrated comic and screen icons, [Spider-Man], to Dundalk, Ireland. Although we cannot discuss much at the present time, Mr. Raimi is certainly looking forward to featuring the DkIT wind turbine his latest film.”
Ms "Fulday" could not be reached for comment.
However, just in case Spidey ever comes to Dundalk, we reckon this is what it could look like - thanks to Naela for getting the picture together!
