This has got to be the kind of agonizing career choice that only comes along once in every lifetime.
Stephen Pagliuca and Jack Connors - co-owners of the Boston Celtics - have abandoned their effort to buy the Boston Globe.
Instead, Pagliuca is set to announce that he is running for Ted Kennedy's Senate seat in Massachusetts.
I just wish I had that kind of career conflict.
Will I run for the Senate and have a say in running the country?
Or will I buy the Globe and have a say in how the country is won?
Politics or journalism?
A seat in the Senate or ownership of one of the world's best newspapers.
Hmm.
I'd go for the Globe. Nothing's more fun than journalism.
