Should America Revert to its 1733 Borders?

There is talk circulating in diplomatic halls after President Obamas speech demanding Israel retreat to it's 1967 borders. The whispers are that America should set the example and revert back to its original 13 colonies borders of 1733.

After all fair is fair. Spain, France, Mexico, Russia and most of the tribes of native Americans are starting to coalesce around this idea. There is talk of a UN resolution being sponsored by Iran on behalf of those exploited by the Americans.

For those of you who attended public school and didn't get a chance to learn about this part of American history, the original American settlement was comprised of only 13 colonies. These colonies were established by the British and were comprised of mostly white Americans and according to the politically correct version of todays history lens, their main goal was to exploit native Americans, enslave blacks working on the grand plantations and not allow their womenfolk to vote, to put it in a pc nutshell. In reality the new migrants to America were of European extraction looking to start a new life in the rugged frontier, free from the tyranny of living under repressive governments.

But through warfare, chicanery, financial skulduggery, exploitation of natural resources and native peoples, Americans threw off the redcoats and commenced to expand its borders under the holy, almost God sounding mandate of "manifest destiny". Americans also used the catchphrase of "defensible borders" to justify its expansion into "other peoples land".

Finally Americas borders reached from sea to shining sea, to the present Canadian and Mexican borders and we clipped off part of Russia and grabbed an island in the mid pacific to top it off.

The USA only stopped its north and south expansions at Mexico and Canada because there were still plenty of whales in the oceans for the oil in our street lamps, so there wasn't much to exploit past the borders at that time. Petroleum wasn't recognized as a commodity...But recently the calls of "manifest destiny" have started to rumble after oil hit 100 dollars per barrel and eyes are on Canadas oil fields.

Israel is a tiny country surrounded by enemies that want to see it annihilated. It had to expand beyond its 67 borders due to warfare and belligerency from its neighbors. Many of those neighbors don't even recognize Israels right to exist. By demanding that Israel revert to its 67 borders, President obama is issuing a death sentence to the nation.

So Mr. President, examine closely the beginnings of most countries around the world and you will see they have had border changes over the ages. Many of these changes were brought about by war and conquest, a nations quest for survival. Take a look at your own county and how it expanded. Judge not, therefore ye be judged.

Sean Hannity gave the obamas trip to Ireland the time it deserved, 15 seconds. It was designed to get you dopes to vote for him in the next election because he is so "Irish". If he was so Irish & it meant so much to him to find his "roots" why didn't he go there long a go and spend more than a few hours there? Niall O'Dowd called it right, it was nothing but a political ploy.

Another of those Irish-American Israel fanatics is Hannity. I heard him rant on his radio show for a good hour yesterday. Non-stop lies and Israel cheerleading. And then this great "Irish" talkshow host spent maybe 15 seconds on Obama's trip to Ireland. And Hannity's attempt at an Irish accent was the voice of an imbecile.

Case in point is that idiot O'Reilly on Fox. A couple of nights ago he had what he flagged as a "fair and balanced" discussion of Israel stopping its occupations. He had two gusts--Both of them American Zionists! No contrary view! That's the kind of stupid bigotry that Farnan peddles here.

I am happy you do support the legitimacy of 242 and 338 after all your government and mine signed off on them.Btw we have returned thousands of miles of land and sea to the original owners but more work needs to be done.It does not change the fact that Israel is a rogue state two wrongs do not make a right.

I agree with Farnan's pro-Isreal stance, but it's funny how he sarcastically states that "the white settlers main goal was to enslave native americans,african americans,and denying women the right to vote sums it up in a PC nutshell." It sounds like he wants to revert back to slavery and chauvinism.

Any land taken beyond the 1967 borders is illegal.Well may you condemn the U.N. remember your government voted for resolution 242 and 338 as did all countries (except Israel and the former apartheid South Africa) voted in favour(China failed to turn up to vote for res.338).There is only one rogue state in this scenario.

Cough cough ahem, Sean Lad: All along thousand of missiles and shells have rained down on Israel from its "peaceful" neighbors. The neighbors also don't recognize Israels right to exist. Every time israel gives back more land it gets more missiles and shells killing their citizens. I'll tell you who is a rogue state: The UN. They have syria and Iran on their "human rights" committee. Syria and iran who kill their own citizens with tanks and automatic weapons. So please don't try to sway anyone with some UN resolution it is worth less than the paper it is written on.

Listen here precious read some facts. Resolutions 242 and 338 were adapted unanimously by the security council and that included the U.S of A. The resolutions establish the 1967 borders as the legitimate borders of the countries involved. The P.L.O. agreed in 1993 to abide by these resolutions. The only rogue state was Israel.Therefore the U.S. should invoke sanctions on Israel as a rogue state as it doe's against other rogue states.So now Angel do you not think you are a little precious or historically moribund. Mman will need broad shoulders to carry you my dear.
