Just hours after the brutal murder of our Ambassador in Benghazzi Libya and the assault on our embassy in Cairo, Mitt Romney spoke for America when he expressed the outrage at the murderous acts. He said America should not apologize to anyone when an American gets murdered.
"I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi," Romney said in a statement late Tuesday night, "It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks."
Romney had remarked on the politically correct statement that emanated from the Cairo Egypt embassy which is the official spokesman of the Obama Administration:
"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions," the statement read. "Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."
Where was President Obama as rescuers frantically searched for our Ambassador in the smoking wreck of our Benghazzi embassy? Standing by on alert as commander in chief, ready to make crucial decisions? No, he was sleeping comfortably in bed, he had a big day of campaigning and fund raising ahead of him. President Obama did not a miss a planned campaign stop or fund raiser as our Mideast embassies came under siege.

The United States is still a free country and can practice freedom of speech, there’s nothing to apologize about.
You don’t see American streets filled with murderous mobs when a far left government sponsored “artist” puts a crucifix in a jar of urine and call it art. You never saw any American cities burn when another “artist” took a painting of Jesus Mother Mary and spread elephant dung on it…No the left celebrated those daring artworks and put them in museums.
But the rioting and violence afflicting many parts of the Mideast is just using this corny video as a pretext for violence, it is a smokescreen for the anger and resentment towards Western civilization and a way to further subvert American prestige in the area.
President Obama made his apology tour to the Islamic countries, promising a new way and respect for Muslim countries…..He was not their enemy. He seemed to think his mea culpa for Americas past transgressions, real or imagined, and just his presence was a magic solution. He seemed to think if he kicked our ally, Israel, to the back of the bus he would gain friendship in the Muslim world.
The naivete of this attitude is now being reflected as Iran races towards nuclear capability and America is faced with increasing scorn and violence, where the Obama policy wonks predicted there would be love, adoration and peace.....now that Bush was out of the way.
As events unfold in this dangerous part of the world, it is plain the Obama administration is in way over its head. Hillary, looks exhausted and at her wits end as she expresses surprise at the violence. Mitt Romney has been a vociferous supporter of our ally Israel as the weak foreign policy of the Obama administration endangers Israels existence.
There should have been no surprise from Obama or Hillary Clinton at this turn of events. It has been reported there was intelligence given to the White house 48 hours in advance, attacks were coming....It was the anniversary of 911 after all.
But what is plain to see in this part of the world that after almost 4 years of hope and change to our foreign policy: Our friends no longer trust us and our enemies no longer fear us.

Don't be such a fool, Monsoonman. What people are opposed to is the vicious Israeli occupation, which Romney unthinkingly supports. Why should Americans pump vast quantities of money into a state that keeps its boot on the throats of people who want their freedom? I say stop all funding to foreign governments, America First! And if you think that makes me a "leftie" you're a bigger fool than even you seem.

The usual semi coherent, emotion based, lib comments on this particularly cutting edge intelligent piece. What "you people" seem to overlook is that most of your coalition would either be stoned to death, decapitated, enslaved, forbidden to read anything but the Koran & barefoot and pregnant if you were living under the dictates of the "religion of peace". Oh yeah, all of you would have a hand chopped off for stealing, the hand that you keep putting in other peoples pockets for your "entitlements."

Chief, you know EVERYONE, even your Republican buddies, are shocked and even ashamed at Mitt's ill timed, disgraceful and most of all erroneous comments? You, Mitt and Sarah Palin are on a solitary island on this one. Also, and God I hope you read this, one thing I love to note is how the bookies see the race in NOV, Mitt HAD made some inroads, however after his outburst this week, Obama is now a 2/7 favourite to win the election. Really, really hope you understand the ramifications of that, and really hope you enjoy another 4 years of Obama!!

Romney the statesman? Since when? He's just an affable buffoon propped up by a ruthless, wealthy father and cronies to appeal to the slack jawed yokels who prefer to elect former Hollywood actors and marble-mouthed bodybuilders to the top office in their country instead of men who have actually got the guts, the know how, and the courage to do what is needed. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet. Most is editorial in nature at best and propaganda at worst. The reason the Islamic religion is in a bad light is because they cut off people's heads in front of cameras and post it on the Internet. Plus strapping bombs to young people and sending them to their deaths. That would cast a bad light on any group of people, yes? And as for the dbag that suggested deserting Israel to get along better with the Arabs, those are the words of a coward and a turncoat.

Mitt Romney is a moron. Anyone listen to his speeches or follow the Republican National Convention? Anyone notice the zealot he's chosen as a Vice-President, who is equally devoid of information, any kind of workable plan, any sense of reality at all? Anyone then watch the Democratic National Convention and listen to intelligent people who actually have a plan based on facts, finances and hard data? Thought not. Mitt Romney is a Mormon. Rich and crazy. Ever read up on that religion? Might as well elect the Islamic Brotherhood. Extremists, both. President Obama followed his Democratic convention with 2 weeks of pounding the pavement, amongst his constituants, working his ass off. Know what Romney did? NOTHING. Went home to Utah and put his feet up. Give your heads a shake!

Monsoonman: Our mission in life is not to make Islamic countries like us. Nor is it to make Israel like us, tho that appears to be Romney's policy, such as it is. Our foreign policy goal should be non-intervention, and non-involvement in wars which do not threaten us. Isolationism, in other words. The only foreign involvement of the past 30 years that can be justified is the attack on Afghanistan, which did indeed present a clear and present danger to the US. Look to those poor Americans killed in Libya this week in Libya for a lesson on the foolishness of intervening abroad. The US helped overthrow Gaddafi, and see how we are rewarded. As we say down South, "We have no dog in these fights".
