Is Candidate Elizabeth Warren from the same tribe as Professor Ward Churchill?

Elizabeth Warren
Recently  it has come to light,  Massachusetts US Senate Candidate Elizabeth Warren, has been claiming minority status as a Native American, even though she might be only 1/32 Cherokee.

The Boston Herald reported Warren listed herself as a minority from 1986 to 1995, in the Association of American Law Schools’ annual directory.

The education industry is the incubator of affirmative action programs, set asides, special dispensations and hiring based on ethnicity.  So when someone claims minority status as a "Native American", doors may open to them where they would normally be closed to others. What a bragging right for an educational institution to have a real Native American on their faculty

Previous employers say that her minority status claim had no bearing on her employment...You don't say!  Those employers, all academic institutions include: University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas, University of Houston Law Center and presently Harvard law School.

Warren claims she used the status as a minority in hopes of being invited to a luncheon, or something.

Ward Churchill
Of course Warrens claims of being 1/32 Cherokee, seems to be 1/32 more than another infamous academic tribe mate, ex Professor Ward Churchill, the former "ethnic studies" Professor at the University of Colorado.  Churchill was fired from his post after making claims that the victims of 9/11 were “little Eichmanns”, or Nazis and he Considered America to be a genocidal nation.

Churchill was another "academic" who took advantage of the system by falsely claiming to be an American Indian in order to qualify for an affirmative action teaching position in Ethnic Studies.  Special dispensations were made for Churchill to get this position.

In 2005 the Rocky Mountain News published a genealogy of Churchill, and reported "no evidence" that he had even "a single Indian ancestor." A Denver Post genealogical investigation drew the same conclusion.

Dennis Miller opined that these academics may be descendant's of the Great Chief  "Spreading Bull".

If we are going to breakdown our ethnic backgrounds into 1/32 parts in order to gain special status, then it seems we can all lay claim to some sort of heritage, no matter how infinitesimal it may be.

None of that articles about Eliz. Warren's clains to be 1/3 Native American explain why she chsims such ancestry. When it comes to racial preference in Afirmative Action, no one has should have a greater claim to this status that Native Americans because their race were in possession of the whole Western Hemesphere for 10,00o years before the first Europeans settled within these shores.
My great-great-grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee living in Tennessee when she married my Scots-Irish-Am. 2 great-grandfather. A few of my older family members had the documentation to prove this ancestral line to the Fed. govt. and took financial advantage of this fact. Although I'm 1/32 Cherokee, I never think of myself as N.A., any more than I think of myself as "Irish", because I don't identify with Cherokee tribal culture. I just happen to have one Cherokee ancestor who died long before I was born. I don't think Warren is any more Cherokee than I am, which is to say we are not involved in Cherokee tribal customs/culture. It's not like either one of us were raised with or is living among them.
She has done well as the daughter of a janitor.
Dennis Miller is a fine one to be talking about spreading bull.
Lad, E warren lied and misrepresented herself to get a coveted position, at the expense of someone who was really qualified for the job. That would be like you representing yrself as abo to get to the head of the line for the best job. No room in our Senate for people of such low character.
That's a bit harsh Mman. The fear and smear masters at GOP are afraid of Warren and will associate her with anybody they consider a demon.4 more years and a Senator E.Warren.
Harvard's not saying whether she's listed as a minority or not on their faculty rolls. Strangely though, there's only 1 Native American listed as a member of the faculty....Who could it be? Anyone with any sense (non liberal) would know she gamed the system, at our expense, just like her whacky far left komrade Ward Churchill.
Why does she claim to be "native -American" (Indian isn't allowed)? Because on the forms that one is required to fill out there is a section on diversity. College faculty being more concerned with diversity than competence could be more apt to hire one who is of "Cherokee" descent. Why does it matter? MS. Warren proclaims to be the advocate for the middle class, a fighter for the oppressed minorities, her claim to be N.A. hold no water unless she has been active in the tribe, but more importantly she is scamming the system, and committing a fraud. Lying for gain. The lie can be proven the gain will remain gray as no university wants to appear complicit. I suppose it's ok though because those Irish, Italian, Greek, etc. immigrants were handed the keys to the city on their arrival, no struggles or bigotry in their past, so if you are white get to the end of the line smile bend over and take it. Unless you are aliberal lawyer from Oklahoma and lie.
The 1/32 native background is not of major importance in defining who Elizabeth Warren is to Massachusetts or the country. The most important factor about Warren is in the early days of the financial collapse Warren was the strongest and most vocal voice speaking in behalf of protecting (we the) consumers and calling the financial crisis what is was predatory out of control banks that still today remain too big to fail.
Ed on another of his "guilt by association" trips. If she is 1/32 Cherokee therefore she can claim to be a descendant with Indian blood.
You want to back that one up? Even all of the tribes save for 1, demand far more blood than 1/32 to claim a part. Do you think 1/32 is good criteria to get affirmative action privileges?
1/32 is exactly how much Native American blood you need for the US government to consider you Native American. No one has bothered to, you know, look this up. What would they have to write then if it wasn't an OMG big scandal?
