| Andrew Breitbart |
The conservative world is still reeling from the loss of one of its own, Andrew Breitbart. Many in the conservative world considered him to be a main driving force that countered the lefts relentless attacks on the right. He could stand toe to toe with anyone in the liberal media and dish back to them what was dished out....Including Bill Maher, the misogynistic, foul mouthed darling of the left.
Andrew was adopted by Jewish parents who raised him in the upscale neighborhood of Brentwood California, but he was ethnically Irish by birth. The Irish bloodline shined through in his brilliance and fearlessness as he fought for what he felt his truth was later on in life.
Andrew grew up liberal in this part of California, where it is fashionable to be on the left side and the term "
limousine liberal" was coined.

But during the Clarence Thomas hearings for Supreme Court nomination, Andrew who was 23 at the time, watched in horror as many Americans did, as Justice Thomas was subjected to savage character assassination and a
hi-tech lynching by the left. Watching the indignities heaped on the black conservative justice by the left in order to derail his nomination, had a profound effect on Andrew. He later said that was when he had an epiphany and realized his true leanings were Reagan Conservative/Libertarian.
It's been said that there is none so militant as an ex-something, whether it is an ex smoker/drinker/sinner/...LiberalThat was a turning point in Andrews life, he found a direction to focus his drive and great intelligence into what he felt was a greater good. He later became a soldier in the conservative cause
and allied himself with Matt Drudge & the Drudge Report, that great online conservative journalistic behemoth. He also helped Arianna Huffington get the Huffington Post started when she was still a conservative.
Andrew Breitbart was a fearless warrior who regularly savaged the liberal media for what he perceived as their severe blindness and bias, he was relentless in his battle. Of course he was attacked unmercifully from the left, but Andrew relished a good debate and was unafraid to confront his detractors. He understood the liberal psyche, unlike most conservatives, because Andrew had been a liberal for many years....So he knew how to fight fire with fire. One of his favorite rebukes to his detractors was "So"?
Andrew had accomplished so much by the time he reached 43. A journalist, activist and author, he had many online media publications to his name, as well as books. He was instrumental in uncovering many unsavory practices and the politicians connected to them that were being foisted on the American public. A staunch pro life spokesman, he owed his life to the loving parents who adopted him.
Andrew Breitbart started out a private in the conservative army of journalists and ended up a General. A husband, father and devoted friend. He will be missed.

IrishDragon blames intelligent, independent and progressive women for his failures as a man -- like most Republicans. Keep crying!

Ratslayer - about as well as the left's War on Men I suppose.

@jamthecat--have you forgotten your liberal darling, Bill Maher's, suggestion? When a liberal woman reporter was sexually assaulted in the middle east, he said, we should bring her back home and we would send conservative,Elizabeth Hasselbeck, in her place. Maybe you need to reevaluate you idea of good and evil, as well.

Cutzypie, your comments only show that you've drunk the right wing Kool-aid. Contraceptive pills are used for any number of things, aside from preventing pregnancy -- like controlling ovarian cysts and helping minimize severe cramps during menstrual cycles. And no one is saying you have to pay for them; we only want them covered by private insurance companies...just like Viagra is. But I find it interesting you don't bother to complain about Viagra and Cialis and the like being covered when their SOLE purpose is to help men have sex. Period. The hypocrisy of your arguments is breath-taking...and so damned typical of your ilk.

On poor Andrew, why didnt the press report that Andrew who got the evidence on Andrew Weiner( who in the begining denied all blaming the republicans that is what a smear issue which isnt normally their style) We all know that is true about Wiener . Andrew announced that on March 1, he would reveal videos on Barach in college that would do the same and Andrew suddenly died that day mysterously. I hope this is being investigated. The whole story should be reported. Look at andrew Breibert and cpac on google for yourself!

I am a woman and I had to pay for birthcontrol. I do not expect other to pay for my birth control and sometimes it was medicinal as I do not want to pay for your condems. i DO NOT CARE WHO OR WHEN YOU WANT SEX NOR DO I WANT TO PAY FOR YOUR SEXUAL URGES. Be responsible for your self and do not ask others to pay for it

How's the Republican Party's WAR ON WOMEN coming along, morons??

Breitbart was adopted by loving Jewish parents, but he was a quintessential celt. I had asked on Facebook Gaeilge Amháin if anyone knew his true Irish birth name. No one knew. He did however have the unmistakeable Irish face and his eloquence, passion and fire were something born in his veins. He was adopted by our Jewish brothers but he was always Sinn Féin (our own). He is living proof of the ancient Gaelic proverb that says that "nature is always stronger than nurture". Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a h-anam. "May God have Mercy on his soul"

Peterson, you say I "give an excellent example of how blind and hate filled the left is, but of course you can't see it yourself", yet you ignore the fact that Breitbart spit nothing but hate and division in every direction he could. When Ted Kennedy died, for example, he referred to him as "human excrement" and was glad he was dead. And Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly have done their best to emulate him, one calling a woman a slut for testifying about contraception, the other lying consistently and refusing to acknowledge it even when confronted with proof of his lies. Are you suggesting all of this is really meant to be sunshine and light? If so, you really need to reevaluate your idea of good and evil. Or are you one of those IOKIYAR cretins?

The untimely demise of Mr.Briebart is regretful. The chest beating antics of Mr.Farnan is ridiculous considering Briebarts loose handling of the truth to suit his extreme right wing views.

....and just who would be a general in the liberal/relativist movement?
peterson | Mar 04, 2012, 02:03 PM EST
It appears (as usual) that the liberals hate those who tell the truth !!

Considering all the evil that man spread, all I have to say is, "Good riddance to bad rubbish." My only hope, right now, is that his fellows in arms against America, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh, follow his lead.
haasny007 | Mar 04, 2012, 12:40 PM EST
rpmschevy I do not know Mike Malloy and neither do I care what those fringe screamers are hurling at one another. Limbaugh and to a lesser extent Breitbart are known to a wider audience. If you listen to Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity & co on one side and Maddow, Matthews, Huffington & co on the other and you don't see a fundamental difference in the tone used and the way facts are treated by the two respective sides, then I'm afraid you are tone-deaf.
Rebelforce | Mar 04, 2012, 12:03 PM EST
It's hard to get too offended by all the unfortunate dancing being done on Breitbart's grave when you consider that the day after Ted Kennedy died, Breitbart was calling him "a villain" and "pile of human excrement". Sounds like a sad case of what goes around, comes around.
PhlutiePhan | Mar 04, 2012, 11:52 AM EST
I actually did not know much about Breitbart. It is interesting to note that he just didn't look Irish. May God have mercy on his soul and may God bless the United States of America.
slainte9 | Mar 04, 2012, 11:50 AM EST
Che Guevara (Lynch) had the "blood of Irish rebels flowing in his veins," too. Castro is the word for a Celtic hill fort.

The problem with the right extreme mouthpieces like Breitbart and Rush Limbaugh is that they will say anything to denigrate their liberal targets, no matter how outrageous and/or divorced from the truth their statements are. They certainly live up to Joseph Goebbels' motto: If you tell a lie often enough people will believe it. The blogosphere and media on the left (Huffington Post, MSNBC, etc.) generally do not introduce that kind of venomous rhetoric and manifest falsehoods against their conservative targets. At the end of the day, pundits like Breitbart and Limbaugh hurt the conservative cause more than they help it as they are only 'preaching to the converted' and more likely than not turn off independents who are deciding elections.

Andrew Breitbart was a fearless fighter for the conservative causes in which he believed. He was a pugnacious Irishman and I mean that as a complement. As some liberal commentators have said, Breitbart knew better than most how to use the internet to get across political messages, a skill now learned by right and left. He shall be missed.
