Dick Morris Travels to Ireland: Is it more than just a vacation?

The brilliant Conservative strategist, Dick Morris and his Irish American wife Eileen, are visiting our Ireland for a vacation.

His Tweet before he left said:

"Off to Ireland with Eileen on vacation. Will tweet from that beautiful country now ruled by the right after the left screwed up its finances".

In Dick Morris style he has encapsulated the situation going on in Ireland with one sentence.

Since his trip started he has sent notes back extolling the beauty of the country, the food and wonderful people he has encountered.

But interspersed with the sightseeing notes, are deep political insights into the inner political goings on in America and what a precarious situation the world finds itself in, with the left in charge in Washington.

Dick Morris was Bill and Hillary Clintons confidante and main political strategist. Dick Morris with his strategic insights won the Whitehouse for Clinton and helped Clinton navigate through the political minefields of Washington DC. He honed the tactic of political triangulation.

But something happened to Morris while serving with the Clintons, disenchanted, he had an epiphany of sorts and resigned from their administration. He soon became a conservative fighting against Bill Clinton and later against Hillary with a zeal of almost religious convicition.

Dick Morris knows all of the intimate details of the Clintons and is wise in the ways of politics nationally and internationally. He is considered one of the most brilliant political strategists in the world and has traveled to democratic countries to work for political change...successfully.

Knowing how Mr. Morris is, raised my political antennae and made me ponder if there was more to his trip than just a sightseeing expedition. Did he have anything to do with last years stunning win by the "right" in Ireland? Is he laying the groundwork for another campaign?

Sometimes things aren't as simple as they appear.

I wonder will Dick invite Sherry Rowlands along. For forgetful or younger readers, Sherry is the hooker pal of Dick who got him into the scandal that forced him to resign from Bill C's staff. Of course the fact that Bill Clinton would allow such a sleazy right-winger as Morris into a position of influence shows how much of a sleazy right-winger Clinton is too.

A guy from America is walking around Belfast, when all of a sudden he is pulled into a dark alley. A gun is held at his head, and he hears "Catholic or Protestant?" For the record, Dick and the Clintons parted company in 1998 when he let the cat out of the bag after Monica Gate when he said and I quote: "Can you really blame Bill, after all, Hillary is a lesbian" Ed, as for your "theory", let me quote William Shakespeare "Yond Cassius thinks too much, such men are dangerous". Don't over think, Ed, as Freud (or was it Clinton)who said: "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar".

Yes Dick the Upper West side of Manhattan Jew would know a lot Ireland and its political parties. There is NO DIFFERENCE between the Futile failures (Fianna Fail) and the Fine girleens (Fine Gael) other than where they stood on a civil war that ended 88 years ago. Think maybe he is in Ireland because of his wife: EILEEN McGANN?

Oh God, the brilliant political strategist, Dick Morris apparently doesn't know his a'-- from his elbow when it comes to politics then. Nor does the writer of this blog. Too busy playing with his spring spheres, I imagine. It's just embarrassing.

Dick Morris knows what he's talking about. The present government is definitely right of the previous fiana fail. Maybe Morris is going to bring the Tea Party in and help the transformation process speed up.

The right has taken over in Ireland? The "brilliant" Morris doesn't know his a** from his elbow. Every party in Ireland would be branded socialists by the rightwing if they were in this country. The right took over? LOL!!

Clearly Dick Morris knows nothing about Irish politics. Fianna Fail are certainly not a party of the left and neither is Fine Gael. There is very little ideological difference between the two parties. Labour is left, but very mild. The idea that the left is in charge in Washington is also rather wide of the mark. The Democrats are primarily a party of the center-left with the center being dominant.
