Death threats to Wisconsin lawmakers will prevent them from attending St. Patricks ceremonies.

The stark reality of lawlessness comes home to the citizens of Wisconsin when their lawmakers are advised to skip St. Patricks Day ceremonies. Law enforcement doesn't think they can protect the lawmakers due to death threats received.
Madison Wisconsin has been assaulted by organized crowds of out of state protesters. They filled the streets and clogged the capital building. In a coordinated move with the unions, Wisconsin Democrat legislators flew the coop in order to paralyze the lawful legislative process and let the crowds work their chaotic mischief for over 3 weeks.
There have been threats of violence, intimidation, 7.5 million dollars of vandalism, economic threats and death threats to those who carried out the mandate of the voters.
The final insult to the capital however, was to have multi-millionaire capitalist, Michael Moore fly in to lecture the crowd on the holiness of collective bargaining. Ironically, Moore doesn't hire union workers on his own films..oh the hypocrisy!
Of course with the amount of press coverage in Madison, like a moth drawn to a flame Jesse Jackson showed up. As if someone pulled his string, he came out with a canned, off the wall speech, not relevant to the occasion. Seems he got his causes mixed up and although he had some rhymes, why did he have to talk about jobless and homeless, huh? This is exactly why the Wisconsin lawmakers got the legislation signed into law, to prevent job loss and homelessness.
The fabric of a country is its respect for its democratic process and respect for its laws. Mob rule, death threats and intimidation are not a part of that.
The time is long past due for President Obama to get off the golf course and get on Air Force 1 for the flight to Madison Wisconsin. He can dust off his Tucson "civility speech" with a few edits, load it into the teleprompter and tell the crowds it is time to be civil. Tell them in his Presidential way, to respect the legislative process, clean up the trash and repair the damage done to Madison. Tell them to go home and work on next years election.
This would be the most dramatic way for the President to take control of the situation and propel his image as commander in chief, the leader of our country. It is counter intuitive for his partisan beliefs, but it would gain him tremendous respect from the rest of the country to see their President be bold in such a volatile situation.
Do the unexpected Mr. president, surprise us. Time is slipping away.

Maloney, I give up on you. There's no sense in arguing with you. You are what you are and you think what you think. Facts won't change your mind. Have a nice life, if your anger doesn't destroy you first. God Bless.

joanxis...yes vacation, he has wife and children in tow. They are doing the vacation thing with him agravating the people of Brazil, America and Lybia with his twice a day speeches. It is a shame the only thing this lepper can do is give speeches and piss away money. I don't want to here about Bush spending. Obama pisses more away in a month than Bush did in a year. Now the Harvard boy has us in a third war, not approved by congress I might add. The liberals are kicking about obama's wars but they will still vote for the traitor to the end to keep from admitting they made a mistake.

As odonnell521 stated: They didn't show up to any St. Patrick's Day ceremonies because they weren't invited. It's amazing how the truth can be manipulated. Just because some have an Irish surname doesn't make them worthy of an invite. Maybe they should have held their own festivities in the Capitol building...oh, it probably would have been closed to the public.
$7.5 million in damages? Check your facts... Walker's camp through it out there to get media attention. It worked, but no one is now reporting a retraction. hmmmmmm The Capital is still beautiful.
I'm curious Mr. Farnan, when you were in Madison what did you think of the peaceful protest? You have such a strong opinion about all the violence and mayhem you witnessed... Are you sure you were in Madison? You were there, right? You just didn't get all your info. from FOX... it's like getting all your news coverage from Leno. Ocassionally flip the station--you might surprise yourself and agree with another pt. of view.

Oh, 2BorNot2B - you caught me out. You're right, I didn't read the whole thread, but so what? You repeated all of those words, so the effect is just the same. Now - are these next words yours or someone elses: "oily anointed one", "fruitloop brained co-relionaires", "oVomit's anatomy", "democRat", dangerously biased liberal media", "that incompetent idiot now living in the WH". Now, you will probably say that my arguement is "not coherent" or that I'm not "intelligent" enough to call you out on your dispicable name calling. I guess you don't get my intent. If you don't like Obama or liberals, I don't give a hoot, but why do you have to make such nasty comments and call people such awful names? You sound like a school yard kid. Oh and what do you mean - you know wow we aaaare? Is that a threat? Should we be quaking in our boots?

Argh. Why is it totally impossible for the rich and the middle/lower class in this country to converse in a civilized manner? ie: the Republicans and the Democrats. Look at your history, children and not American History 101. Historically, business owners underpaid, overworked, and mistreated workers. Children and women suffered, men lost hope. The American Dream was built on union negotiations that gave anyone the possiblity of a good, comfortable life. If you believe it will be the same if the unions are broken than I pray you don't lose your trust fund.

A small point, the crowds of out-of-staters who rushed on Madison were fanatical Republican tea-partiers. To the best of my knowledge, Moore works with a small crew of friends on his movies which are very low budget.
The Democrats who fled were running from the Governor' threat to arrest them if they didn't vote for his proposal to eliminate collective bargaining rights and the only people in this country who want that are capitalist Republicans.
