But it is legal!
Despite overwhelming circumstantial evidence pointing the finger of guilt at Casey Anthony, the jury returned a not guilty verdict in the sensational murder trial.
Ms. Anthony was accused of killing her Daughter, little Caley, by either chloroform or wrapping duct tape over her nose and mouth to smother her, possibly while she was locked up in the trunk of her Mothers car. The Mothers defense/story was full of lies and deceit, straining the boundaries of credibility to any thinking person. Parents especially would find Ms. Anthony's alibi beyond bizarre.
Some might think this is a big win for the American justice system, that it is better to let off 1,000 guilty, in order to free that one innocent. If that's the case, then we have 999 more to go before the law of averages kicks in.
But others think it shows how the manipulation of truth and credibility can find the weak points in the judicial system and free the guilty. How money and fame can draw out of the woodwork, lawyers who artfully use chloroform on a jury (without killing them) long enough to get the not guilty verdict. I do not use the "innocent" verdict purposely.
But in the hermetically sealed courtroom, jurors are only allowed to see and hear what the judge and attorneys want them to hear and they are only allowed to find a verdict on the menu that the judge allows them to find. The prosecution has a high mark to reach in order to show overwhelming guilt.
The defense attorney in this case, only had to cast a shadow of a doubt that the defendant just might not have done the crime. Evidently he did just that and his client will walk free.
In the meantime, Caley Anthony is dead and there is no justice for her. So kudos for the American legal system? I think not.

The American system does work now and then. Seano and obama are pissed that Texas put to death the illegal who raped and killed a young girl. Against the wishes of the left, seano and obama's orders Texas whacked the illegal trash in spite of them.

The jury found her not guilty, the American people will not. She will pay for her crimes whether seano the roohumper likes it or not. Jamie is right in that nothing will bring the little girl back to life but casey anthony will pay in this life and the next.

Jurors are idiots when they don't give the verdict that you wish for! why not dispense with the jury system and allow Mman to be judge, jury and executioner.Throw a rope over a tree and send out a posse top pick her up.That good old US rough justice ,how you lot miss it.

To me, there is never any "real justice" for the victim, no matter how much we punish the perpetrator. I find Casey Anthony's behavior despicable, but even if she was locked up for life, or even executed, Caylee is still dead. Our court system tries to punish criminals, and rightly so. People should go to prison for their crimes. But once the crime has been committed, no amount of punishment can "unring the bell." No matter what happens to Casey in the future, the sad fact is that Caylee will forever have no earthly life. Those who really loved this little girl, will forever feel the pain of her loss. That's what makes the murder of someone, accidental or pre-meditated, such a horrific event. I don't believe "real justice" takes place on earth, no matter how much we want it to.

Casey Anthoney got a trial with a jury of her peers..all of them idiots. This is right in John Edwards country, the greasy, slick talking ambulance chaser who wanted to be president. Any wonder he made millions conning gullible juries down in that part of the world. any wonder he conned the democrats into making him their vice presidential candidate?

One must accept the verdict of the court, mulling over "should've or wuold've" is a waste of energy. If you were not their for the full proceedings it's difficult to make a fair and balanced judgement.
