But it is legal!
Despite overwhelming circumstantial evidence pointing the finger of guilt at Casey Anthony, the jury returned a not guilty verdict in the sensational murder trial.
Ms. Anthony was accused of killing her Daughter, little Caley, by either chloroform or wrapping duct tape over her nose and mouth to smother her, possibly while she was locked up in the trunk of her Mothers car. The Mothers defense/story was full of lies and deceit, straining the boundaries of credibility to any thinking person. Parents especially would find Ms. Anthony's alibi beyond bizarre.
Some might think this is a big win for the American justice system, that it is better to let off 1,000 guilty, in order to free that one innocent. If that's the case, then we have 999 more to go before the law of averages kicks in.
But others think it shows how the manipulation of truth and credibility can find the weak points in the judicial system and free the guilty. How money and fame can draw out of the woodwork, lawyers who artfully use chloroform on a jury (without killing them) long enough to get the not guilty verdict. I do not use the "innocent" verdict purposely.
But in the hermetically sealed courtroom, jurors are only allowed to see and hear what the judge and attorneys want them to hear and they are only allowed to find a verdict on the menu that the judge allows them to find. The prosecution has a high mark to reach in order to show overwhelming guilt.
The defense attorney in this case, only had to cast a shadow of a doubt that the defendant just might not have done the crime. Evidently he did just that and his client will walk free.
In the meantime, Caley Anthony is dead and there is no justice for her. So kudos for the American legal system? I think not.

The Florida Jailers are considering putting Casey Anthony in the trunk of a car in order to sneak her out of jail tomorrow. Should they duct tape her securely so she doesn't roll around back there while the car is in motion?

Mon and Maloney - a great tag team. Why don't you two exchange email addresses and talk to each other to your hearts content, instead of taking over this forum. Just a suggestion.:)

Read the book seano. It was at a time the debt limit had been reached and needed to be raised. They shut it down until an agreement was made as my last post said. Knowledge is a wonderful thing, educate yourself rooboy. Your memory sucks.

You only raise the debt ceiling when is is necessary.Clinton left a tillion dollars in the bank therefore no need to raise the debt ceiling.Bush stuffed up[ the economy and raised the debt ceiling 7 times and left a massive $10trillion debt and 8.8% unemployment. What a selective memory you have maloney.

Yes a civil suit/wrongful death lawsuit would be a good one. But shouldn't the federal govt. come in and file a civil rights lawsuit against her for violating her daughters civil rights? That's what the feds did after the jury exonerated the cops who apprehended Rodney King. They went after them again (double jeopardy) and got them a nice trial in front of an oj jury, so they could get a conviction.

Our system surely has flaws but if I were a juror I would use some common sense along with the law.If they had held out for guilty at least one of the other options there could have been another trial and the prosecution could have done better.Anyway it was provedshe lied for 30 days so it should have been obvious she did that so the body would have time to decompose and the cause of death could not be found and voila thats what happened. Someone should file a wrongful death suit like they did on OJ.

Yes Maloney...I think it was written somewhere that good would triumph over eveil! Notice that 1/2 of Ireland is now on welfare? The US can't be far behind and the results of societies that depend on govt. for their livelihood vote for the parties that keep the checks coming to them, it's generational dependence aka: Democrat/Fiana Fail parties. But oops I see Fiana Fail is going to change their name. Typical lib. answer to a problem.

Yes Maloney it is a good day to see the good citizens of Cali decide to break away from the rest of the lunatic asylum. Do you think there will be a battle between the north and south like we had back in 1860, in order to preserve the state? do you think anyone cares?

O'Reilly is not a conservative and he is not on the right. Yes the death penalty is a left/right issue. Liberal states have no death penalty and conservative states do. Liberal governors oppose the death penalty and conservative governors are pro. Right up there with taxes the death penalty is a HUGE left/right issue!! The people aren't fooled by your bull sh*t seano.
