Hi Everyone, Unateresa here with a little something about me so I can welcome you all into the world of Irish Dance, Music and Culture. I will be following all the dancing events here at the Mid Atlantic Region, and most of the majors here in the States and abroad, If you have anything to contribute please email me at Unateresa.Irishcentral@gmail.com.
Just back from the All Ireland Dance Championships in Killarney, great trip, very short only three days this time, but my dancers did well and got their recall medals and went home happy. The Americans made a great showing, taking some of the top prizes of the week. I will do a full follow up story this week so come back and see all the results and some priceless pictures. It was great staying with family and seeing my dad's home place, They always have a warm welcome and a turf fire burning (love the smell of turf), but now home and back to reality....
Only three weeks to go for our Bigapplefeis.com in NYC, Lots of organizing to do and not enough hours in the day to cover everything. Send out the word, would love to see everyone at the Hilton on 54th Street on March 12th, 13th and 14th. Great pre-cultural activities and competitions before St. Patrick's Day. Friday night Big Apple Irish Idol...... Bachelor and Bachelorette competitions, session and fun. Saturday and Sunday dance and music competitions, workshops and vendors. Saturday night a Play and banquet and so much more.
All the best,
Unateresa
