Blessings and thanks to the McCarthy lads of Jameson’s Revenge who, despite losing their beloved mother recently (unrelated to the storm), are staging another installment of their wildly popular Sandy Seisiuns benefit shows.
The last two, staged at Connolly’s in Manhattan, raised over $25,000 apiece and inspired musicians from as far away as Indianapolis to stage their own benefits for hurricane victims.
This time, they are taking to the Irish county of Bronx and enlisting the help of Mary Courtney and Morning Star, Larry Kirwan, Susan McKeown, Johnny Seven, the Westchester District Pipe and Drum Band and many surprise special guests.
It goes down on Friday, February 1 at An Beal Bocht Cafe (445 West 238 Street in the Bronx). There is a $20 suggested donation at the door, which is a very small price to pay for the extraordinary Irish hooley that is bound to ensue when they all hit the stage!
