Fox News Channel have a credibility problem of their own making.
Night after night they give an unedited national forum to a tear-stained conspiracy theorist who critics contend is merely a delusional paranoiac.
On Monday Glenn Beck suggested that Friday's horrifying earthquake and tsunami in Japan was possibly a 'message from God.'
'We can't see the connections here,' he told his viewers. 'I'm not saying God is causing earthquakes - well I'm not not saying that either!
'What God does is God's business. But I'll tell you this - there's a message being sent. And that is, "Hey you know that stuff we're doing? Not really working out real well. Maybe we should stop doing some of it." I'm just saying.'
In a scatter shot list of possible reasons why the Japanese people having invoked God's ire, he even cited 'radical Islam.' As if Japan were a jihadist training camp. As if it were a nation full of radical Muslims.
Presumably by Friday he will have found a way to blame it on the First Lady, too: "I'm not saying it was her - well I'm not not saying that either!'
There's a message being sent to the American people by Beck, all right: absolutely no credibility should be given to either Beck or Fox while this man is given a forum for his bizarre 'views.'

Hold your breath waiting for Beck to leave Fox. His ratings are still higher than the rest put together. You don't have to like it but there's nothing you can do about it. LOL

Beck is a buffoon who hit the jackpot because he has that ability to fake sincerity and some people actually believe it. He was a crappy "radio personality" not long ago here in Connecticut. Anyone who takes him seriously needs to reconsider.

Beck is a Mormon - not a Christian. He always says don't believe me, check for yourself. Don't spout aspersions unless you check facts. As to opinion he's entitled to his and I to mine.

Glenn Beck can have freedon of speech in America but off the national media. A very pessimistic, angry, scared, little man. A toddler in spiritual understanding, he lacks wisdom of this life on earth.

I can't help noticing how handily the people you dislike dovetails with the people God consigns to Hell or eternity without cable or the interminable bus trip or whatever torment He's devised. That's what makes religion look like such a crock.

hollabuckgirl, In case you didn't notice, I quoted a prophecy made by Jesus Christ. And as far as I'm concerned I don't want any of these things to happen, but they most certainly will. And armaghhabu, I assume the " hell " to which you refer is the one most denominations claiming to be Christian preach and is the fires and suffering inflicted there go on forever. Those who understand what the Bible says know there is no such place where Satan and his demons will torment sinners forever in unquenchable fires. I don't believe that those who don't understand that they are doing wrong will be punished at all as most churches espousing Christian churches assert. However I do believe their will be a final and ultimate judgement and those who know they are doing wrong and persist in doing so will pay the penalty of permanent death and not receive eternal life suffering excruciating and unrelenting punishment in an unquenchable fire.

Am I the only one, or do a lot of people feel as if Glenn Beck's facial expressions are obnoxious button pressers? He always has this s-eating smirk on his face.

Distraction, dishonesty, propaganda. Listen to the comments of the FOX supporters. The actually believe that liberals and the government are destroying the economy and stealing their money. They have already forgotten that the banks and corporations almost destroyed the whole worlds economy less than two years ago. They demanded our tax money twice to the tune of hundreds of billions to bail them out for their theft and sheer incompetence and they get hundreds of billions every year in corporate subsidies while 2/3 of corporations pay zero in taxes. FOX is not only one of those major corporations but it is the mouthpiece for the rest who pay FOX billions of dollars annually in advertising funds to mislead the public with their propaganda. Anyone who believes what FOX "journalists" say or any other mainstream "journalist" says should take a good long hard look at the citizens of Germany after WWII who when asked why they went along with what Hitler and the Third Reich were doing simply said they were fooled by the propaganda.
