Bill O'Reilly disrespects the President of the United States

Prior to the Superbowl, Fox News' Bill O'Reilly staged an interview with President Obama that is attracting increasing comment for its tone rather than its content.

It wasn't the lively exchange of political views that distinguished the exchange.

The fact is that O'Reilly rudely interrupted the President no less than 48 times (in the process introducing himself into the national conversation) and setting a new benchmark for coarse incivility and disrespect toward the Commander in Chief.

How does this unchecked belligerence look to the nation and the world? Remember President Obama was elected by the American people by historic margins. O'Reilly, who claims he is a patriot, should have contemplated the implications of that before launching his ignorant salvos.

To see the President spoken to in such a relentlessly condescending manner by O'Reilly, when Obama has made every effort to change the political tone and reach across the aisle in Washington, was nauseating.

Who does Bill O'Reilly think he is?

O'Reilly is an embarassment....President Obama deserves the respect of his office. He is just trying to derail anything Obama says.

Seano..there you go with the grunting pigs again. I'm worried about ya son.
what a joke. maybe if your press was tough on your pols, you wouldn't be in the crisis you're in now.
Maloney Beck is at it again.
What bothered me about O'Reilly was his too-familiar way of talking with the President, as if he were talking with a visitor (Obama) in his (O'Reilly) living room on a casual visit. No formality whatsoever, a lack of respectful distance as he questioned him. He could have asked the same questions in a different manner, with more respectful or respectful use of language, tone and physical posture. Arrogant, yes, but, more importantly, lacking in respect for the man who is sitting as President. No matter who is President, whether it be Bush or Obama, it is important to remember that this man sits in a world respected office and should be treated with DIGNITY. O'Reilly did not do that and it was very upsetting to watch for that reason.
What can you expect from a pig but a grunt. The presidents decorum made O'R look like the ignoramus he is.
All O'Reilly, all the time.
obama has blatantly disrespected the office of the President of The United States of America. God bless Bill O.
Made "every effort to reach across the aisles '?This president has deliberately failed his country in just about every category one could mention. He has also lied to the nation - and himself - repeatedly. He should be made to answer to the American people without the liberal media shoring him up at every opportunity. Let's face it, without the media, he couldn't have been elected. The sad part is that the media has to keep backing him because they stans tro lose face if he loses the support of the uneducated.
Obama. One and Done.
Obama ate O'Reilly for lunch....he was calm, cool, collected and answered questions in smooth, measured tones, while O'Reilly was angry, cynical and looked like he wanted to scream and jump out of his chair. I hope a lot of people watched this and were scared by how unhinged O'Reilly seemed to be.
It was O'Reilly's most pompous and self-regarding interview ever and the tone of it blatantly disrespected the office of the President of the United States.
Cahir, there may be a vacancy over at MSNBC. Go for it! You're in!
