Herman Cain, Tea Party star, Muslim basher

Herman Cain, star of the Tea Party Convention, and the pick of many of its members for president, may be the worst thing that has happened to the radical platform for the Republican agenda.

This week he said he's been called a racist for saying he would refuse to appoint ANY Muslims to his cabinet if elected.

Hispanics haven't forgotten the Dream Act

The statistics released by the Census Bureau last week demonstrated - unarguably - that America's Hispanic population has grown dramatically, which is very bad news for the GOP.

Hispanics now account for 16 percent of the nations total population, making them the largest minority in America.

First Wisconsin, then America

When you give away tax cuts to the rich someone else has to pay.

That's why in Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, with behind the scenes help from the billionaire Koch brothers, recently managed to gut the collective bargaining rights of the states public employees. The state couldn't afford them, he pleaded.

New York City is not ready for disaster

When it rains hard in New York City the subways often run late; many times trains stall or are even pulled out of service.

Other times old traffic signals on the subway lines malfunction, holding up thousands of commuters in packed carriages or on crowded platforms.

Glenn Beck: Japan earthquake a message from God - AUDIO

Fox News Channel have a credibility problem of their own making.

Night after night they give an unedited national forum to a tear-stained conspiracy theorist who critics contend is merely a delusional paranoiac.

On Monday Glenn Beck suggested that Friday's horrifying earthquake and tsunami in Japan was possibly a 'message from God.'

Newt Gingrich's attacks on marriage

Newt Gingrich has a hell of a lot of nerve.

The man who wants to be our next president told the press this week that his many episodes of adultery were in fact driven by his work ethic and his love of the United States of America.

400 Americans richer than half of all Americans combined

400 Americans now have more wealth than half of all Americans combined. You read that right. To hear some observers tell it, we now have four hundred untouchable Mubaraks of our own who have more cash, more stock and more property than 155 million Americans combined.

The richest 1 percent have more wealth now than the bottom 95 percent combined. They're also enjoying the lowest tax rates in their lifetimes.

Here's a scale of the actual distribution of wealth in America (and it's not what most American's think it is).

Politicians and protestors condemn U.S. Muslims

It's the question of our age: can you claim to love America whilst stomping on every ideal that created it?

I have to warn you, this story is disturbing. At a recent fundraiser for for the homeless held by the Orange County chapter of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) several hundred Tea Party members and other protestors showed up to heckle the participants.

Far right billionaires: the real threat to the middle class

A long time ago in America a relatively small group of obscenely rich aristocrats, who had made most of their vast fortunes off the backs of slaves, actually managed to convince thousands of poor southern dirt farmers to fight to preserve their wealth and way of life.

Of course those aristocrats had no intention of improving the lives of the poor men who fought for them, but still they somehow they managed to inspire them to pick up guns.
