Oh-oh. The long delayed Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark Broadway musical featuring music by U2’s Bono and the Edge has just hit another medium sized iceberg.

Producers have confirmed that Evan Rachel Wood, the actress originally cast in the role of Peter Parker’s love interest Mary Jane, has left the musical. Wood exited the production due to a mysterious “scheduling conflict” which is often celebrity speak for a major dust up.

Ongoing financial troubles have pushed the opening of Turn Off the Dark far beyond its original February 25 preview date. Observers err now saying that Spider-Man will likely begin its preview run in late summer and open around Halloween, though those dates remain unconfirmed by the show’s production team.

The budget for the show has reportedly grown to about $50 million dollars, making it one of the most expensive shows in Broadway history.
