The ‘Total Recall’ actor – who has children James, seven, with model Kim Bordenave and 23-month-old son Henry with actress Alicja Bechleda-Curus – does not see his eldest son’s genetic disorder Angelman’s Syndrome, which causes intellectual and developmental delay, and loves spending time with him when he can.
He said: "He's doing phenomenal. Less and less and less do I see his condition. I'm just keenly aware of his personality. He's really cool. He's got an amazing team of people in his life.

“We have the seizures under control. He helps us in a way to be better people. He's so much fun to be around. I just am crazy about him. His health is good.”
The Irish hunk tries to stay in touch with both sons using internet service Skype, but neither boy is interested when he has attempted before.
He told USA Today: “James doesn’t really care. We tried this once, years ago. He didn’t care for it. Actually, Henry is kind of bored with it already.”

Farrell was really good in "Crazy Heart" with Jeff Bridges. Farrell sang better than Brad Paisley does who makes loads with not as good a voice as Colin Farrell.

The interview Mr. Farrell did on the Letterman show did so much to give attention to FAST, the organization searching for a cure to this condition. I have a Grandson with a related condition who does not find Skype interesting either, perhaps missing the human contact. When Mr. Farrell isn't working he is a hands on father and in his Calif. and Dublin homes James has his own bedroom. I know James is "main-streamed" in his LA school, attending school also with non-special needs children. In Ireland this is not done. Next year there will be a Special Needs day in Dublin to help bring about change. Mr. Farrell will be the keynote speaker. I'm quite surprised you have not heard of this at Irish Central, it is to be in July 2012. Nice that someone famous stands up for our kids!
