Susan Boyle decides not to move to London

Bookmark and Share

Following the arrest of a youth in connection with the January break-in to her home in Blackburn, Susan Boyle has decided that home comforts are best and will not be moving to London after all.

The Scottish songstress is said to be feeling a lot better about remaining in her Scottish home now that the police have found the young man who broke in to her house.

"Susan was being encouraged to move to London, but her heart is in Scotland," a source told English paper The Daily Record.

"She at least now she can go back as often as she likes safe in the knowledge that the intruder has been caught."

Plans were afoot for Boyle to spend a considerable amount of time in London while recording and working there, but she has decided that home is where the heart is, and clearly for her, it is in Blackburn.

PS. Yes, good photo.
I think this was another non-story from the beginning. I never heard her say or write that she intended to move South, but she was understandably nervous at times when the intruder was unknown and at large. It must be so difficult to have inaccurate words and intentions attributed to you constantly. The fact that she has survived this first year pretty well unscathed, full of enthusiasm and confidence shows what a remarkable, brave and grounded lady she is.
Now THAT's a good photo of Boyle. MalcomAC in Toronto
The day after the 'breakin', Susan Boyle stated very clearly (and the video is available) "No one is pushing me out of my home, I'm not going anywhere.' This whole story about her 'moving to London' is yet another invention. Of course she will be in London to record her next CD. Who knows if she will rent or buy. But Blackburn is home and she's also said, 'my heart will always belong to Scotland'.
