Snubbed songwriter suing Lady Gaga for $31m

Bookmark and Share

Songwriter and producer Rob Fusari is suing exhibitionist Lady Gaga for $30.5 million.

He claims that Gaga denied him his share of song royalties and merchandising revenue.

Credited on the album “The Fame,” Fusari said that he helped to launch Lady Gaga’s career including co-writing material and securing a record deal.

Fusari and Lady Gaga had been romantically involved since 2006 when they formed a business together. However, Fusari said that she left him once he shot to fame.

“Radically reshaping her approach,” to both performance and persona Fusari claims that he created the Lady Gaga brand.

Lady Gaga’s representatives have yet to comment. However, in the past she said “I always dressed like that before people knew me as Lady Gaga. I was always that way... I stuck out like a sore thumb.”

Last month Fusari also accused Beyoncé of falsely taking the credit for the idea of using a certain riff in Destiny's Child single “Bootylicious,” which he had co-written.

It seems that Fusari has much to complain about. Whether anyone takes notice will be a different story.
