Queen says exhibit of Kate Middleton's wedding dress is 'horrible'

Queen Elizabeth has described as 'horrible' the headless mannequin used to show Kate Middleton's wedding dress in the ballroom at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen and Kate toured the exhibit yesterday and the Queen could clearly be heard saying ' horrible' and 'horrid' during the tour.

The dress by Alexander McQueen dress is on a headless mannequin and the tiara and the veil that Kate wore is suspended above it.

“It’s made to look very creepy,” the queen said, while Kate responded that it had a “3D effect."

A Buckingham Palace spokesman stated : “This was part of a private conversation between the Queen and the Duchess of Cambridge and we do not comment on private conversations.”

The dress exhibit will run until October 3 and over 250,000 are expected to view it.

Actually jim etc..the conversation was recorde/reported...'Waity Katie' tried to defend the designer by saying they were trying to achieve a 3d effect....for 2d Kate...hahaha...I'd stay away from Paris if I were her...Interesting thet Wills is attracted to an anorexic woman!

This is an example of how a headline creates a different impression of an innocent story. If only you had added and edited, the following is the correct way the headline would represent the true story - "Queen says the way Kate Middleton's wedding dress is exhibited is 'horrible'" - because we read that the Queen and her new grand-daughter-in-law took in the exhibit together. If she had not liked what was being done, the Queen would not have joined her. When I first saw your headline, it seemed as though the Queen was making a judgment call on whether the gown should have been exhibited in the first place! Just stick with the truth; you know we are going to read the article.

And you complained about Murdoch's flunkies and THEIR eavesdropping! Besides that, only snippets of the conversation were overheard (or selectively reported). Nothing was reported on Kate's response!

The Queen is right. Creepy creepy creepy. Why couldn't Madame Toussaud have done a wax figure of Kate? Her figures are very lifelike and would have been a lovely way to display the dress.
