The recent picture of Michelle Obama dressed extremely casually in a Target store near the White House shopping incognito makes one thing clear.
Michelle you are no Jackie Kennedy!
One can only imagine how Jackie would have shuddered at the image of Michelle caught dressed so casually.
Jackie was a woman who invented the mystique of the First Lady's office.
Part of that was always to appear in public dressed to the hilt, a paragon of style and charm.
Michelle Obama is a beautiful woman, but quite what looking like a suburban mom on a bad day does for her job title I'm not sure.
Perhaps we should be glad that she's just normal like the rest of us
But maybe we don't want normal when it comes to first ladies, no more than Hollywood stars.
We want that little touch of secrecy that can add to the intrigue and the mystery.
That is why Jackie Kennedy has remained such a mythical and attractive figures all these years later.
And why Michelle did herself no favors dressing down for the camera on her 'secret' shopping trip.

seanomelbourne, this has gone on long enough. You are far to uneducated to own a business so, if you were a millionaire, it would have to be through an illegal operation (not surprising for an Aussie). Your sentence structure is horrible and you don't seem to read because you would know the facts about the civil rights acts and stats on charitable giving. Also that Fox News has not been discredited but is the most watched station for news still. I knew you were atheist since you are a liberal. This is why you don't understand about charity. You have no moral compass. That is probably why lying comes so easy to you. Your lack of intellegence explains why you can be led by the Daily Kook, Media Matters and MSDNC. As a good Marxist, you would be one of the "useful idiots".

Tarmagani you are living in lala land it was the dems who passed the civil rights act some dems and republicans did oppose it.The questions about letting uninsured people die or booing gay soldiers who protect your butt maybe may be stupid but the reaction was tragic.It rubber stamps the mindset of the rights willingness to rid society of those less fortunate than themseleves.As for donating to charity tell Sean Penn, george clooney or soros that story it,s an urban myth created by your fascist fiends oops! friends that they are more charitable.A myth created by the discredited newscorp/Fox channel. If you struggle to come to terms with the fact that I am a millionaire who cares.You have no idea what people(less fortunate than myself) I have helped.BTW I have not seen your post where you condemn the actions of your potential POTUS for condoning by their silence to allow the uninsured poor die or the booing of gay soldiers(it did happen)read VPs digust of the booing and your mates at fox trying desperately to down play it.So much for right wing charity, it stinks of hypocrisy. But since I have facts and examples on my side, I win. And speaking of facts, you don't seem to avail yourself of them. I never said that millionaires are confined to one class. But that is what the right has always believed. The left thinks that minorities are inferior and so they came up with affirmative action to lower the bar for them. The right knows that if you make special rules for some to make it easier that they will sink to those expectations. If you expect the same from them they will perform to the higher level. That is why Republicans backed the civil rights act and Democrats fought it. And you can search all you like and you will see that I never mentioned gay soldiers. And nobody boo'd a soldier because he was gay. It was a stupid question for a debate. And I never mentioned insurance companies. Why all the lies? Since they come so easily to you I have to conclude that you are no more a millionaire than I am. And since you are a Marxist, you obviously don't care about helping the less fortunate. You think that is the givernment's job. Which is why conservatives give more to charity than the liberals do. We actually do care. But Maobama wants to take away deductions for charitable contributions because he thinks that people will give less. I can tell you are a hopeless case so enjoy your selfish life. I pray that someday you actually learn how to help people.

Obama has not proven you correct. Self aggrandizement is not my style,I was mereley making a factual statement.millionaires are not the confine of the right.The more just a society the easier it is to break the poverty trap and once broken then you can advance your lot in life.I find it interesting that you condone the booing of gay soldiers and the deaths of those whom have no insurance, health insurance companies looking for loop holes to deny payments to the sick or dying. human beings are suupose to care for those less fortunate than themselves.Maybe in your case we should remove human and just call you a "being" after all humanism is not your strong point.

Hermain Cain is exactly correct. In America you have the freedom to make as much, or little, of yourself as you wish. When 47% of Americans don't pay income taxes and 50% of households receive some sort of payment from the government, those Wall Street Whiners are the product of liberal entitlement mentality. Cain really is a self made millionaire whereas the Whiners don't know why they are there. It took them days to at least start chanting the same thing. One idiot was screaming about how his parents had lost their house. Nobody told his parents, however, because they were still living in the $500,000 house and paying his $70,000/year college tuition. So, the right wing says "everyone can make it if you try" and the left wings says "you can't do it without givernment's help". So if you really believe in Marxism then send me one of your millions. That is what liberals believe is that the rich should give it to the poorer so only one of them has to work.
And you still don't get it. Obama has already proven that I am right. He has taken over the auto industry, insurance, banking, student loans, health care the energy industry and more. And he was ranked the most liberal Senator. Liberalism is facism.

seanomelbourne, that was an interesting rant. But, as a typical lib, it was not based in any fact. You seem to think that the givernment has to be there to take care of you from womb to the tomb. Without it you could not survive. You forget that the right wing is the side that believes in the Constitution. The first amendment says the government cannot sponsor any religion. And Franco and Hitler believed in total government control. Just like the liberals. So please don't paint me with your brush.

The economy is NOT the government even though the left believes that the government can control the economy. After the failed policies of FDR and Obama one would think they would learn.

I am always amazed at the people who state their opinions as fact and usually based on something they either heard Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck say. Both indisputable experts, and with no axe to grind with the Democrats, no?
