Leann Rimes takes the stage at Waterfront Hall in Belfast.

Singer and tabloid fixture LeAnn Rimes had a blast in Ireland last week – until she landed in an emergency room in Dublin to treat a bad cough.

The star, more famous for wrecking the marriage of her husband Eddie Cibrian (whose ex-wife Brandi Glanville parlayed her “heartbreak” into a role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), stopped in Belfast for a show before heading to Dublin on last Thursday for a planned concert for 1,000 at the Vicar Street venue.

"Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes,” she tweeted before her concert promoters announced that the show was canceled.

LeAnn didn’t mention, though, that she enjoyed a night out in Dublin with her hubby the night before at the Copperface Jacks pub among other places. They hung out with Claudine Keane, wife of Irish soccer star Robbie, who tweeted about the couple, "Had the most amazing singsong with @leannrimes & @EddieCibrian. She's the most incredible singer. What a fun night, thanks guys!! Cxx.”

Leann is on the mend and proceeded to Scotland and England for more concerts last weekend.  She apologized to her Dublin fans and said on her extended Twitter account, “A few things I've learned about Dublin. The fans are loyal and understanding (we'll be back). You have a great otolaryngologist that took fantastic care of my voice and is helping me power on as much as I'm possibly able. The oysters are insanely good!  Thank you Ireland for your love!”
