While playing like a star for the US soccer team last month, Landon Donovan got world that there "was a possibility" he may have fathered a child with a British woman.However, weeks after the US were eliminated from the World Cup Donovan, 28, can relax.
He isn't the daddy.
Donovan told E! Online while attending the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday night., "I will not be a dad any time soon, which is good news for me."
Donovan, who recently split from his actress wife, Bianca Kajlich, didn't deny the possibility that he could be the father when the news broke last month.
He told Sports Illustrated at the time that if the love child was his, "I will provide the appropriate support."
Landon Donovan has spent most of his pro career in the U.S., but played on loan for the Everton Football Club in the UK for several months last winter.
