The eccentric singer appeared as 'Jo Calderone' at the recent MTV Awards and says creating an alternative persona for herself gave her a new understanding of some of her feelings and actions.

She said: "I thought it would be an interesting exercise to create someone who's not me, someone infinitely more relatable than me.

"It took a performance piece for me to understand things about who I am. And through doing this, I learned about how I am in bed.

"I said, 'Isn't it strange that I feel less able to be private in private and more able to be private in public?' And Larry [Arancio, acting coach], said, 'Well, maybe that's the problem.'

"As we were working and talking this through, I remember one of the things I said when writing was that I cover my face a lot when I have an orgasm. Like I'm ashamed or something."

Gaga admits she struggles in her personal relationships because she is unsure how to behave due to the fact she is so "open" in her performances.

In an interview with Vanity Fair magazine, she said: "When I'm on stage, I'm so giving and so open and myself. And when the spotlight goes off, I don't quite know what to do with myself."

This is an insult to those with a mental illness called dissasociative identity disorder. I agree with colkelly in spirit, however I don't think she is even modestly talented. She is a joke all the way to the bank. She depends purely on her stunts. I suppose she had done some good using her 'personality status' for good work. Would not want her to be my sister or my daughter, thanks.
Very interesting perspective. I think that if I would be so fortunate as to meet someone like Stephanie (Lady Gaga's real name), or Jennifer Aniston, I would try to get to know them first. If (some chance) they were willing to go out with me, I would treat them like ladies, and not rush things through. Considering who they are, I feel it would be they who should bring dating to "the next level". If intimacy was reached, it would be much more meaningful than a one night stand. If it didn't go that far, I would still cherish the time spent at lunch, dinner, movies, or even walking around together. I would freely talk about the lunches, dinners, movies, and walks, which would not cheapen Stephanie, or Jennifer. Finally, if we parted ways (consider the busy schedules which the stars keep), I would be confident that they would remember me. A one night stand is quickly forgotten.
Take one modestly-talented singer who can't get a break, add a marketing firm that creates an outrageous persona and you have a "Star." What a joke.
If you wore a hat you wouldn't see it.....
